Have you seen Gaethje's fights? He's an outstanding wrestler but he's always been a stand-up guy. He rarely went for takedowns in most fights. He loves to stand and trade blows and strikes. Although, he could've win a lot more if he utilise his wrestling in all his fights. It's not out of pity or anything for the one hand guy. It's his style. You're disrespecting Newell in a wau by saying that Justin stand and trade as he doesn't want to make him look bad by taking down and pounding a one hand guy. I was talking about a couple instances where he dropped Nick who couldn’t even stand up quickly or cover himself well on his back and Justin clearly didn’t go for the GnP where he had the chance. On another note, Justin literally stopped punching Cerrone on the ground and started looking at the referee to stop the fight, showing mercy to your opponent when you have the upper on them them is never a sign of disrespect, it’s just a sign of good caracter. With that being said, I never meant that Justin showed mercy because he had a physical advantage over him just in case my original comment was interpreted in that direction.
