The police force right after the Seattle Police Band is the New Westminster Police (bright blue uniforms) NOT the Seattle Police. Port Moody ? is Victoria. The force named as New Westminster police ? is West Vancouver Police.

An impressive turnout by the Mounties, and for the most part looking pretty sharp. Sadly there still as always those who don't know enough that you start marching with your left foot. If you should find that you are out of step it is simply a matter of kicking your heel and you are back in sinq. Were there any Mounties left for the rest of the country or were they all here?

Another thug dies, with all this pomp and ceremony one would think he's some sort of hero deserving of this display of pageantry. Respect his family, provide condolences, mourn the tragedy of a life lost but cut out the military nonsense. He's a public servant!!! That willingly took on the role and the possibility of the consequences of his actions. Police goons aren't even in the top 15 most dangerous jobs in Canada...what makes these public servants so special that we taxpayers fund this type of travesty with our precious tax dollars? I will respect these servants when they begin and continue to respect their employers...you and me, citizens in a "FREE" country, Canada! Until we begin to address the disconnect between our servants and citizens, they will continue to die while they continue to kill citizens and then run, flee, from accountability. It is very disconcerting their "management" hasn't a clue as to why this type of tragedy actually occurs. A man is dead, never mind his gang's remorse, start trying to figure out why. This garish display of "respect" would be a good place to start the "investigation" of trying to find a way to improve community relations. It's not an enigma wrapped in a mystery, most average citizens are aware of what the root of the problem is... their escalated militarism and defiance. It doesn't matter how he passed, he's dead...how could this have been prevented? This parade of 19th century military bravado has to stop. Devote these funds to finding solutions that work, not this continuation of myth and "tradition." These public servants think they are "special," that's where we have to start reeducating this dangerous mindset, that is getting citizens and goons killed frequently. This "parade" is simply ego stroking, it must be stopped!!!
