That man has no idea what love is. At best he shows possessiveness. No one capable of love would do the things he did. How sad and horrifying that she forgave and went back to him. He thinks he can “make up for” killing her parents and her baby, not to mention raping and torturing her for years. He can’t. He’s delusional. He never takes full responsibility for his sins. He just blames others and gets revenge on them, instead of in himself. I like to believe that she is only pretending to forgive him so she can get close to him and exact her true revenge. He does NOT deserve a happy ending!

Or maybe that's where my memory latched onto, but I could've sworn she escaped again and she got away from both the ml and the sml and came back years later with a kid.
