Drake pled guilty to exchanging inappropriate text messages with this girl, but she then accused him of sending her explicit pictures and SA, both of which were proven to be false (through digital forensics and witnesses who testified that she was never left alone with him at the events she was accusing him of SAing her at). But the media then reported her false accusations as if that was what he pled guilty to, even though all he pled guilty to were the text messages, which he has taken full responsibility for. The New Your Times actually recently issued a retraction of their article where they had reported this false information about Drake, but of course the damage to his reputation has been done, which I think is a huge injustice to Drake. To be clear - obviously it was still grossly negligent of Drake not to make completely sure of how old she was before replying to her, which he takes full responsibility for in every interview I’ve heard of him (if you want to know why he was so negligent in that situation, listen to his appearance on the We Are Man Enough podcast where he talks about what was going on with him at the time).

@@Kareena1988 The term monsters are very powerful word. I don't necessarily think that anybody is a monster. I think that some people's minds lack the ability to understand that what they may be doing is wrong. Oftentimes we see criminals spend the vast majority of their life in prison. They come out and they do the exact same thing that they did before. All that time supposed counseling did nothing to change the way they view the wrong that they did. I think some people's minds simply lack the ability to understand that anything you do is a two-way street. For example if I am interested in somebody and I want to do something physical with them they also have to be okay with me doing something physical with them. If they're not then I know I'm not doing it. Some people simply don't understand that. Others will raise in a different time in which in some cases it was told to them that it was expected that if you want to do something physical with someone and you are " " the dominant in that interaction that that person just automatically does what you want them to do. Now we know that's not the case. But that was a belief at one point in time. I always hope that as new generations are born that that philosophy and that the inability to understand that what they're doing is wrong will go away. But it never seems to. That is why it is our job to be hyper vigilant. Hyper aware of the world around us. To make sure that not only are we safe but the ones that we care about and love are safe. Our friends and families. Make sure that they have the opportunity to live a great life just as we do.

Dan Schneider also gave Amanda Bynes an exaggerated sense of celebrity to the point where she wanted to seperate herself from her parents when her parents tried to keep her ego in check. It’s speculated that Amanda Bynes developed mental health issues because Dan abandoned her after he helped her build her success. Dan Schneider then did the same thing with Ariana Grande. This explains why Ariana's career and public image has been declining for the past six years.

Acting kids are generally abandoned from film industry. They should have psychologists by their side to process the (possible) fame. Especially on social media nowadays kids get comments on their looks etc. Parents might catch up some things but not everything. Especially when the kid went into acting to earn the family’s income. I hope in the future parents are allowed on set, there are (pre-checked) therapists or coaches on set to make sure the kid is feeling well. And I also think kids shouldn’t work on set if possible when they actually should be in school. Acting should still be a hobby. Of course a payed one but a hobby. Also kids should be checked if they are there because they want to and not because their parents told them to go.

The fact that Dan Schneider was never under investigation, especially what he did to Amanda Bynes and the fact that Brian Peck only got 16 months and still to this day after everything came out nothing has happened to him. He even worked on Disney Disney even allowed him to work with more kids

I believe the allegations that Jeannette McCurdy made against Dan Schneider is one of the reasons why Paramount+ cancelled the 4th season of iCarly (2021).

Schneider was not involved in the reboot. Miranda Cosgrove and Jerry Trainor were mostly in charge of the show and they didnt involve Jeannette out of courtesy of her decision to quit acting. Her book did not have anything to do with the cancellation of the reboot.

What Drake is saying at about 15:58 minutes in, is partly why I find this so upsetting and also why I don't read tabloids. Entertainer's of any kind, bring laughter, joy, beauty and inspiration into my life. At minimum I expect (as a fan who spends their hard earned money on albums, movies etc.) that all of the people who bring these wonderful things into my life, be able to afford food, a roof over their head, the ability to retire, educate themselves, their children and have access to healthcare all while being treated with dignity and empathy. The fact that these expectations are disregarded is so, deeply offensive to me. Even if a celebrity ends ups with an addiction; instead of being judged and torn down, they should have a path to receive compassionate help and a game plan to recovery. If they decide to share those details, they should be applauded for setting such an important example in the midst of such vulnerability. What a stellar example of humble courage.
