I respect Scottie for giving this interview and giving his feelings about not only Luc, but the Bulls overall. He showed proffesionalism and respect by not letting his true feelings be known, as we've come to realise. So well done to him here.

@@kimosabbe50 He called himself the real leader of the Chicago Bulls. He said that he purposefully didn't offer condolences to MJ for his father's death purely out of spite. He said MJ was a horrible player before he showed up. He said Phil Jackson was racist for letting Toni Kukoc hit the game winning shot instead of him. He's been attacking Charles Barkley for not being good enough, during his time on the Rockets. All types of inexcusable, unforgivable, A-hole behavior.

Scottie Pippen - the ultimate team mate. I would have loved to play with somebody like him. There is that other guys who is being mentioned in comments a lot. I’m not criticising him or trying to hurt his fan’s feelings, but I’d rather play with Scottie. Basketball is a team sport. It is about the we not about the me. I have never heard any of Scottie’s teammates talking bad about him - other than Barkley of course.

I don't understand why so many of these Australian media outlets (or Australian offshoots of American media outlets) are doing so much on Luc Longley more than 20 years after he was a role player in helping the Chicago Bulls win their second three-peat (1996-1998). I get that's it's done in following up on the Last Dance but with all due respect to him, Longley doesn't strike me as being deserving of any type of 30-minute documentary, featuring long interviews with Michael Jordan or Scottie Pippen. Longley was a decent player and that's about it. He was the starting centre for the Bulls, although you have to think it was more by default than anything else because here were the alternatives from 1995-1998: Bill Wennington, James Edwards, Jack Haley, Robert Parrish (at age 43-44), Joe Kleine, Dickie Simpkins, Brian Williams. I don't think that he was any better of a starting centre/role player than Bill Cartwright was as the team's starting centre during the first three-peat (1991-1993). And you have to think that both Jordan and Pippen didn't want to lose fans/make enemies in Australia so clearly they didn't speak their mind entirely and didn't say candidly what they really thought about Longley.

So sad how Scottie has been talking so bad about MJ these last couple of years but from this interview you can tell that not only was MJ and Pippens ability on the court so complementary to each other but.....their personalities also i believe were a good match being so different. Like a yin and yang type of thing. MJ was the hard man and the guy who got in your face taunting you trying to make you upset to toughen you up and Scottie was the complete opposite...... kind of like a shoulder to cry on after MJ tore your heart and feelings out of you!! 😆 You kind of needed Scotties positivity and support that he gave and showed to his teammates to sort of soften up that brick wall Jordan was back then and help to balance out MJ's intensity. Had Pippen not been there during that second 3peat.....i truly believe some of those Bulls players might have been killed during practice. And i mean literally not figuratively!! Lol. Thank God that didnt happen! As far as Scotties comments on Jordan lately putting him down calling him a horrible player before he got to the team and calling Phil Jackson a racist and all these other crazy things Scottie has been saying.....again its very sad but i think its coming from a place of pain within Scottie's soul. He has been through some rough times with a child of his passing away and then having to go through a divorce and then finding out your ex wife is now in a relationship with your ex teamate's.....Michael Jordan's ......son??? So....yeah....crazy stuff and sad. Pippen and MJ accomplished so much together you would hope and want them to remain friends and be able to look back years and decades later with fondness , happiness , and joy on all the things they did together.....but unfortunately its just not looking like it will be that way at this time. Some say time heals all wounds.....well in this situation....i really hope that old saying comes true. 😉
