This interview took place in Imerienwe in Ngokpala i Local Governent Area of Imo State, here we meet the Legendry Guitarist Mr Godwin #Kabaka Okpara who led oriental brothers to hit songs like: Ihechinyere, Uwaemesi, Uwaatuolam Ujo, #Nwada #Adimma etc. #Kabaka left Oriental in 1977 to form #Kabaka international Guitar Band.
Immediately he left Dan Satch took over the leadership of the band , with Warrior being the vocalist.
Warrior later splitted with Dan Satch And form his own version of the oriental brothers.

Please respect. Age gracefully. Oriental Brothers Music played a critical role in uplifting the spirit of the Igbo race after the catastrophic and genocidal Biafran civil war. still inspires today. One of their tracks, among many I love so much is Oku Abugh Oga Ni Iru.

To help you, Get a pen, to jot your follow up question so that you will give the person a chance to respond. This is a historical interview although locally conducted. Good Job Bro...

It is a pity. This interviewer is one of those that are killing this beautiful language. If he cannot speak fluent Igbo he should have spoken English language. If he is not fluent in both he should have brought somebody very fluent, smooth and who can do very good interview.

Oriental Brothers song is superb and d best music ever known. They are full of wisdom, knowledge, understanding about life's journey. The music brought a lot of comfort and consolation after d war to Ibos. We will celebrate them throughout life especially d vocalist Warrior etc. God bless you all still living.

Don't say this non of them founded Oriental brothers , they were all discovered by one rich man by the name Akajiaku 1 of Mbaise and he bought band for them then they started playing and made Kabaka leader , u can get all their cassettes they all played together and u will see led by Kabaka , why Kabaka is talking this way is because he is not very sound mentally and that is why Dansatch is using their old musics to enrich himself without getting Kabaka involved

Kabaka is not saying things streight. He did not explain how he recruted others, but Dansatch explained how he recruted everybody, including how he recruted Kabaka at Enugu. I don't know why People should not say the simple truth. You would have interviewed him privately and confronted him about the facts and figures presented by Dansatch, before the main interview, now you made him to be making mistakes. You must review that interview with all the living members, now that they are alive. You know that they are now old, they can easily forget things. According by Dansatch, Kabaka was the last person he recruted at Enugu, because the main giutarist left them.

But he was the leader when all of them were together but not that any of them owned the band , but today Dansatch is claiming to be the owner of the band and Kabaka is equally claiming to be the founder but they are fighting over this just because Dr Sir Warrior is late

The JOHN OTUYA that KABAKA made mention is from KWALE in Delta State... He played with KING UBULU INTERNATIONAL BAND OF NIGERIA...

John otuya is not from delta. His is from the same village as kabaka. He only joined that band after he left kabaka international guitar band.

Another thing, many Igbo fans of Oriental Brothers does'nt understand the Mbaise and Owerri langueges that they were using in their music. Some producers can at least write it, if possible explain it. Their music cannot die. I am from Orlu, but when People from Old Anambra ask me what the Orientals is singing, I cannot explain much. The fans are dancing the beating of the music, without knowing what they are saying. People will like their music more, if they understand what they are saying.

Kabaka didn't please me in this interview; he's not coordinated - answered off-tracks. Perhaps the interviewer isn't also helpful. Nothing to learn from him about their history. If he can't provide their album photos even while at home, it's a big minus.

After listening to both Dansarch, that is Emeka Okpara, and Kabaka, that is Godwin Okpara, any rational mind would conclude that Dansarch was more honest and sincere than Kabaka.In his own interview Dansarch supported his story with factual details which made his narrative more credible than that of Kabaka. Given the fact that these men have advance in age one would expect Kabaka to speak the truth and set the record straight before going to his grave. However it appears he is not ready to do so but prefers to depart this world with lies. This is very UNFORTUNATE!

Dansatch remains the writer,composer and brainbox of oriental brothers...Kabaka that wasn't in major of their project/work is claiming leadership,big lies...Dansatch was more detailed and didnt stutter in all his interviews.

Dansatch did not lie. Atleast he was quoting People, names, addresses, dates and how he brought every member to the group. But Kabaka did not explain how he recruted anybody. The interviewer must bring them together, to a face to face interview. Pay them well for the interview and ask them to explain things as they can. Find a good producer who can even take them to USA or London, for the interview, on CNN or BBC.

Kabaka is a liar. He has to say the truth instead of promoting himself. Kabaka left the band because of greediness. He wants to own the band himself before they get him kicked out. And kabaka only played two albums and couldn't go further. The founder of oriental brothers is Dan Satch. Kabaka was picked from Enugu Dan Satch has confirmed that. Please get Dan Satch interviewed for actual information about oriental brothers

Kabaka's new disposition stems from the fact that Dasatch now tends to overshadow him with bogus claims of leadership of the orientals. The summary of it all is that the old orientals music was basically reciped around Kabaka's overwhelming guitar strums and warrior's golden and creative vocals followed by Akwila's percussion, Ichita's backup vocals.Dansatch played the bass guitar. Kabaka's touch on the lead and rythm guitar is above excellent. Kabaka left the orientals, yes, but he remains their leader, period

Him and sir worrior have same mentality of pride, who will be on top. When you listen to some of the worrior songs you can hearing proudly saying "owum bu onu n'ekwuru Oriental anyi enweghi olu ozo belu som" must he sounds like that? I consumed your product and it was if low quality, all you have to do is promise to do better next time. I was not the only one that expressed this. Take it into advisement and improve on your product. That's how you grow. Tomorrow you will blame your ancestors from holding you back.

What do you want him to do. Kabaka does not want to answer any question. But he must answer all of them or we can take that of Dansatch as the only autentic Oriental Brothers story. Kabaka does'nt talk. I am surprise to see him talk here, in a dark place, without lighting.

Easy going hotel own by James Azuwike. He encouraged,KABAKA,Satch, Warrior etc to form a band because John ikediala,,of the Eastern Ministers who frustrated them.,,,Dansatch has no,band &has never produced any record in the 70s..,,,He was not a guitarist, he mastered guitar latter, with the grooming of KABAKA...Someone dragging Supremacy,, is just a waste of time
