I do somewhat agree, but I also have to say that Chime's JP VA puts a lot more emotion into her words. The English one is a bit too soft-spoken and comes off as a bit flat. The JP version is practically bursting with energy like a little gremlin, and is gratingly annoying , but in an endearing kind of way. You can really feel how much pride she has in serving Crown.

@@farenhaight4133 For me Chimes JP VA is jut a bit to over the top for me. Nothing wrong with that personally just does not hit with me. Again would like to stress I have nothing wrong with her VA just does not work for me personally lol.

@@dagatharokon2121 yeah I can understand. I'm just more tuned to JP VAs because they generally are much more professional in this line of work than most others. Not saying every other is bad ofc.

@@farenhaight4133 O I agree I would say 90% of the time I pick and chose for each event. I honestly think the English ones aren't bad but sometimes its clear the JP just sound better lol.

Enjoying jp? Good for you. She and many others enjoy en. Good for them. People can have different tastes. Not a hard concept to grasp I think :)

@@soybeannnnnnnnn9813 Fact one: that's the same as saying you prefer chocolate icecream to vanilla icecream without having tried chocolate. Fact two, I never asked her to play in JP, I told her to check out the HARD WORK and EFFORT that another voice actor put into the scene. Apparently that is offensive to you? Appreciating people's craft? Fact three, I never said Crown's EN VA was bad all together but just that scene. Just watch it and compare it against the JP VA and you can tell the absolute lack of emotion and voice direction given to the VA in that scene.

I don't think you got the jist of what I was trying to tell you. Saying you liked jp or prefer it is perfectly fine but don't try to tell others how they should or shouldn't play their game. This is not a healthy behavior. Also by your logic, I should play the game in all the languages available then. If I have to appreciate jp then what about Korean? What about games that come out in 5/6 languages? Again, I totally understand that you are passionate about the jp voice but expecting the streamer will do things your way kinda ruins the fun of watching.

Yes! Especially with Modernia - like she _read_ that its effect does damage in an area, so it was a bit frustrating to see her ignore/forget that, and waste it by using it on the tower as opposed to the enemies

I think it was really bad voice direction. It sounds like she didn't know the context to try for the tone at all.

@@crystalkasumi3281 Very likely, this lazy and awful direction has gone unchecked for so long already, ever since the start of the game with Marian's repeated voice line. Ingrid's "protagonist" case was a massive one, it basically screamed "we don't double check anything", as if the moment those audio files got sent over, they just copied and pasted the files into the game and called it a day

@@4thsin098 Thankfully Ingrid is better in the later chapters but holy crap the earlier chapters were hilarious. I remember one of Ingrid's "..." line supposed to more emotional but she let out an weird exhale gasping sound. I agree they need to put the extra effort to review these things for English voices. Red Ash event was a bit rough because I personally liked all the Goddess squad EN voices except for Red Hood's. The direction were awful for Red Hood's lines.

I watched the Side Story in JP. I just couldn't get into Chime's JP voice personally. But I don't doubt at all she had an amazing performance with the emotions in this story.

Actually agree with you but for me i skipped parts so many times when chatter interrupted and somehow still feel irritated because the VOD is not full to the ending Last Kingdom part 1. I really wanted to see and hear her reaction but now I'm just irritated and disappointed.

Given I am very new too all of this and still trying to get the hang of it all I acknowledge I still need to work on focusing on story and keep convos not relevant to actual story for after main quests. Doesn’t mean I’ll be completely ignoring my community but it is something I’m still working on. Also, these VODs are uncut since 1. I’m trying to take the time to learn to edit when able to and 2. They come directly from twitch exports which I don’t understand why it didn’t take it all the way to the ending of the story so apologies for that as well. What I’ll try to do is see how I can edit in the ending of part 1 story into the story 2 VOD, it may be scuffed cus noob so please bare with 😭

@@yesseniavo Don't get me wrong. I think you're doing great job being entertainer and streamer. My point here is that as viewer who wants to see you go through the story and experience your reaction to it, it's incredibly frustrating when you get interupted by chat in the middle of it. To better understand how it feels just rewatch your vod. I'm sure even you yourself will see how in the middle of story you start replying to irrelevant topics brought up by chat like how they pulled some character in star rail and see how you dont manage to finish the sentence of the story and end up not providing a genuine cool reaction because your focus was more on the chat than the game itself. My advice is when doing story content in any game to tell your chat that you're putting on your gamer pants and will focus on story rather than replying to chat especially topics that are not even relevant to the game you play at the current moment. Be entertainer by reacting and commenting on whats happening in the game. When you're doing stuff like dailies and other uninteresting content that's when you can go full on chatter and reply to every single msg you're getting in chat.
