two things about him that stand out for me.... 1. from day 1 game 1, entering the league as a high school player, he started dominating. not even kobe or garnett or other high school players did that. 2. with all those consecutive finals appearance, the shortened off season, the extra games played, he still played over 75 games, close to 40 mpg every game every season....

I think he is up there with Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson. He is an all time great for sure. Best of all time? That is hard to say among those on the top, but he is a contender for sure.

@@ThatOneGuy-kr3zl I don't think it is a good thing to just crown a GOAT, because what will LeBron James goals will be then? He won't be motivated for anything. He still can aim for bigger records. Bill Russel team has 11 NBA championships for example, that guy from Brazil actually holds the world record for most points Oscar Schmidt with 49,737 points. I think LeBron James could compete for team USA in the FIBA world cup and be a world champion with team USA and win some Olympic golds. That would give him international prestige as well NBA prestige. I am still not fully convinced over LeBron over Bill Russell, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar on the GOAT status though.

@@ThatOneGuy-kr3zl My honest opinion is I am not fully convinced over Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russel in relation to LeBron James and the GOAT status. These guys all have more championships then LeBron. Yes Robert Horry gets honorable mention, although we all know he won the lottery riding with good teams, but I think a player who is to be a GOAT should win the most championships may it be the NBA and with Team USA or with their national team in FIBA and Olympics. I think honestly just the NBA alone is a shame to consider and not caring about international contests.

Nobody cares about “longevity”. Longevity is nothing but how many games you played how many minutes you played and how many seasons you played. MJ is still top 5 in shot attempts and he played 15 seasons

Longevity is a huge testament to the amount of hard work, dedication, and smart decisions every day that lead him to play at an elite level for so long. He isn't limping over the finish line. Also shot attempts is not longevity statistic. Heck I can have the most shot attempts if I wanted to.
