The Catalan Football Federation (FCF) - (in Catalan and officially: Federació Catalana de Futbol) is the territorial federation of the Royal Spanish Football Federation in Catalonia. From its foundation until 1940, it was in charge of organizing the Catalan Football Championship. It currently organizes the Catalonia Cup, all categories from the Third Division downwards, as well as the regional soccer team. Since 2009 it has also organized the Catalunya Internacional Trophy.
On November 11, 1900, the Foot-ball Associació was founded, the first football federation in Catalonia and Spain, the embryo of the Catalan Federation. Eduard Alesson was president and FC Barcelona, Hispània, Català and RCD Espayol were members. In any case, this foundation did not come out.
