Suh is probably the best defender currently.

Number of Defensive players decreased substantionally when the fast rubber was introduced. This enabled the players to use the loop top drive. A defensive player is no match against a powerful exponant of the loop drive. Watch Suh Won's losses. It is impossible to return the ball from wide angles over a distance hit by an established top driver or looper. The greater the distance increases from the table, more the difficulty in returning the ball. Suh Won would win more matches if she practiced to change her style and attacked more. Her defence should be an advantage and needs to attack to win points. She should capitalise on any loose return instead of defending even poor shots. She has a good top drive and should adopt it when ever dealing with a high ball coming over the edge. One must grab the chance more regularly to off balance the player and create a gap for a smash. Hate to say but it is difficult to be succeessful in todays fast game as a predominately defence player. Myself used to be a black dead rubber defence player, introduced attack by developing a strong loop and I began to win many more games. Used defence as an advantage. A good phyisical work out routine skipping and jogging helps develop agility.
