That was a nice 300D at the end. Doesn't sound quite right. May need the valve clearance set. I had an 85 back in the early 2000s. I was in San Diego though so no cold winter starts. LOL I had a 1983 Peugeot 505 turbodiesel though before that that I took to Kansas in the winter. It did not want to start. I think the compression was down. It never got much below freezing when I was there. I finally got a little heater and cut it into the lower rad hose. Plugged it in at night and no problem starting in the morning. If I remember right my mercedes had a built in plug in oil heater from the factory.

The nice thing about this 300d OM617 is it shakes so much that it removes the snow by itself. 😂😂

Jeśli świece dobrze grzeją, jest dobry akumulator oraz paliwo, każdy stary diesel Mercedesa odpali w największy mróz bez problemu
