Martin Luther King, Jr's
"I've Been to the Mountaintop"
delivered 3 April 1968, Mason Temple (Church of God in Christ Headquarters), Memphis, Tennessee
This is the last public speech, MLK gave before his assassination the following evening. And it is said to be one of his most prophetic speeches; containing an eerie prediction of his own slaying in the final lines.
'And so I'm happy, tonight.
I'm not worried about anything.
I'm not fearing any man!"

Rest easy Doctor King. You'd be disgusted with what the dirty Democrats have done to this country. Your talk about judging a man by the content of his character not by the color of his skin. Well the dirty Democrats piss on that saying. They strongly believe in identity politics. Oh and your talk about Jesus & Israel? Well the dirty Democrats hate both of them as well! Now I see why you hated the racist Democrats back in the 60's & you were a proud Republican!

I am a conservative white man born and raised in ATL, GA and I am a republican and proud of it. He didnt care about anything except living from principle and freeing the oppressed.... and the oppressors....There has been no one since who has been willing to do the right thing with no concern for himself. This breaks my heart. Although not a perfect man, he was a man of peace, and so many felt threatened by his intellect and reason. So much of what we are as a nation was accomplished on the backs others, and those who know history realize this. One can only imagine the good that would have come if he had lived. He is one of my heroes, in the truest sense of the word. His words hold a power over me that can't be measured, and I am in awe of how he can shine a light on injustice in such an eloquent way. Seeing this makes me feel complete and utter shame for how people of color have been treated throughout history. His words leave me speechless.

Its sad that we went from being enslaved by other people. To becoming our own worst enemy. Robbing our own people. Poisoning ourselves with drugs and alcohol that was first brought here just for that purpose. To letting our family unit just vanish or become so weak. I wonder how he would feel today. Seeing we haven't risen just fallen in different directions.

I was 8 days short of my 15th birthday when Dr. King was gunned down. It was a turbulent time in American History. As I grew older, and started to date Black Women, I learned so much about Black History. I cannot imagine what the Black people of America had to go thru. When I see movies, documentaries, and read stories I have a pain in my heart for the suffering the Black men and women had to go thru to even get to this point. Dr. King was a kind and gentle soul, and he tried to wrong the right in America, and it cost him the greatest price...his life. I know, not even in my life time will racism be conquered and eradicated from our society. God bless all of you and may God keep everyone safe.

Bill Anthony no I don't think that this country was designed on fairness and equality and justice for all so it will never stop only God not Jesus Christ with God will be able to fix this country and it would take the destruction of this country to learn how powerful his word is white people are out of control and God himself to show them who's boss not damn I don't fear no man that walked on two legs and speak my language or any other language I walk in Pride of being African-American women that have been through trials and tribulations but I still have the pride of being a beautiful black woman

I understand Gloria. I am not sure God is ready to wipe out the world again in my lifetime. As a father he has to be so disappointed in his children. My father, God rest his soul, stated almost 50 years ago "if this is what we are leaving are country to, the this world is in trouble." I often ask why God just doesn't come down and sweep all the people off this Earth with evil in their hearts. I don't know the answer, Gloria, but something has to change. I stand with you. May God bless you, and keep you safe from harm.

So powerful speech for a man who choose to live his life for others, he looked ahead by faith and fought for the new American, new world where people of different colours will live together as brothers! He fought for the benefits of the people not his generation or his life but his children, the world needs many MLK to change for great Glory!!

I was a month shy of turning 6 + I've heard this speech several times + there's a difference between hearing + listening. And every time I listen to it i hear it + it's more profound. I agree that he knew he wasn't long for this evil world because as he said he's been to the mountain top, he saw the glory that awaits Jesus faithful followers. His eyes had seen the coming of the Lord ". I believe God comes to some before death to let them know it's gonna be ok, they fought the good fight now time for glory. Anyway just my opinion

WHEN CAN WE EVER HAVE A MAN LIKE MARTIN LUTHER KING BE PRESIDENT 4 REAL
@robertgoines2855

We got Obama + the reason a idiot like donald dump got into office was a direct result of a lot of white people got some real issues that a BLACK MAN (while Obama is no Martin hes a great example of if you believe, you can achieve) living in the white house. Regardless if he did a great job didn't matter. But his skin color still too dark for some people. Not all white people but enough of them couldn't stand it. Hence we end with a outright racist, empty suit of a man in the White house.

A man like MLK cannot and should not be president. He was too messianic to stoop so low as to become president. I tell you he would never be as popular as he is today, if he'd sullied himself with the office of president.

it's not the color of skin that makes us beautiful.no not at all it's not the color of our skin that Dr.Martin Luther King was speaking of of its the color of our Hearts it's about Love ,Loving .caring for and about each other that God.intended for it to from the beginning God Blessed This Wonderful Man To Preach and tell us the ways he wants us to Love and treat one another.he seen all of this .Ever Human beings and Race was and os Created by God.God,a very Special Man like Mr. King.to address to us the way he wants us to be and get along with other.the ways we're treating each other as among our sleves isn't beautiful at all .fighting ,killing, most of can't stand to see each other make something good in our lives.we have a hate war going on among our race let be beautiful with Love among all people regardless where you came from or where you live Mr.King wanted peace and love to unite with people getting along.black on black killing some people loving this .lets show the world whats kind of life Mr.King was marching and died for.he knew that it was the end road for him, he didn't fear any thing causes he knew he was a man of God,he was chosen to do this.the man that killed him knew this too. a evil person will do anything in his power to get rid of some one that had the gift the insights that Mr King had Love and peace among all people and races. was too much for him that evil man couldn't take it not seeing a man like Mr King . and being a powerful Black Man.was more than he take.so it's time for us to Love one another the Dr King .wanted it to be
