I lived in Dawlish for a year. It's a darling little town. Beware the Dawlish Ducks! They come out loudly in the Spring and do all sorts of odd things in broad daylight on the streets. You'll find out!

I travelled through Dawlish just yesterday on route from visiting my family in Cornwall to home in London. That stretch of the train journey is the most beautiful and I always position myself on the side of the train to best enjoy it. I’ve been travelling that route since I was little and have favourite rocks in the sea at Dawlish and Teignmouth that I’ve watched gradually erode and change shape over the years.
