Ken Roczen had one of the most dominant runs in AMA Pro Motocross history in 2016 when he won 20 of 24 motos en route to the 450 class title. But it wasn't all smooth sailing for the German who found himself wrapped in heated battles with Eli Tomac on a number of occasions. One such instance was during the fifth round of the series at Muddy Creek in Tennessee where Roczen and Tomac went at it for the overall win nearly the entire second moto. Today we look back on this classic Roczen v. Tomac battle that you may have forgotten about.

I'm a die hard tomac fan but you must of never seen jett in person on that 450, if you fail to recognize he is going to be a contender then that's your own stupidity. Kids silky smooth and super fast and makes it look effortless while tomac muscles threw the track... its gonna be a race

As a person whose broken their collar bone 4 times it's crazy that Baggett was even out there riding at MC post surgery which is a pretty choppy track plus hitting those big triples the ride he put in was insane

Tomac was coming off double shoulder surgery from 2015. He injured both shoulders at Lakewood Colorado motocross.
