I just had a flashback to being part of choir performances at that theatre when I was a kid and the yellow and grey colour palette felt really nostalgic too, what a fun project!

You can usually adjust the maximum brush size in the brush editing panel (unless you've already made it as big as possible, of course). Maybe that would help?

The timeline is incredible - with just one day turnaround for initial feedback and revisions! I’m actually quite impressed by that, more so on the client’s part because they (ie institutions) usually take a while to review. Thank you for sharing your process. This is so interesting! Your illos are sooo cute. It’s so lovely to know the stories behind marketing/branding assets.

I did my first illustration commission a couple of weeks ago, and your videos on process really helped me with the whole going back and forth with the client thing. I totally need to write myself a contract though for next time! The client reached out to me and then didn't really lead the project in any way (they know I'm an amateur though) so it was a bit chaotic! They were looking for disabled artists and were trying to take the pressure off by not having demands i think.... But the lack of structure was messy rather than relaxed!! Anyway thankyou for sharing your experiences :~)

hey sha'an! the brush size max can be changed in the brush settings! just double tap the brush and find the "max size" settings :)

In this case it's one of the gouache ones from Max Packs I think, but usually I use Evolve and Grain only which are basic brushes u get with the app :-)

I love these kinds of videos. One question- Was it decided with the client or in the contract that only 2 characters would be produced? Or was that just what you ended up creating?

Decided at the beginning. The fee reflected the number of characters ie 2 characters = $x, and 3 characters = $y

loved this video but the audio quality made me stop watching, it sounded like you were shouting in my ear bc of the microphone. Just so you know as your videos are purposely quite calm and relaxing

When I was editing it was too quiet so i turned up the sketching part and some of the other parts where i dont have the little lapel mic. i'm not sure if theres something weird with my computer. Can u let me know whether all of the parts were too loud or just the parts when i was sketching, or the parts with the little lapel mic or the first to camera shot? There are 3 different audio recording methids throughout so i wanna know which to change! Thank u!
