I think it's because Chen's, D.O.'s and Baekhyun's vocal prowess are on another level that they really overshadow the other vocals in the group. But Suho, Xiumin and even Chanyeol can be a main vocal line in another group. That just shows the amount of talent in this group.

All the songs they sang are like the ones that are iconic in Korea, and for real we are still begging for a 2nd part too. 😂 Growl is Korea unofficial anthem, mama because is their debut, love shot is one of the most covered song by other idols, call me baby won so many awards, don't go is fan anthem, first snow it tops charts every first snow of the year and last all winter, miracle in December and sing for you return to the charts every winter, the eve has its own fan club (that iconic it is) and so on. 😊 Also you should remember that they had been singing for over 11 years so they are naturally very in sync with each other. The way they were sranding here is their natural formation in concerts. Kai position is Between D.O and Suho. Lay should be Between Kai and Suho. Chanyeol is always trying to make D.O laugh or bother him and D.O or laugh or hit him. That's their nature. Obsession is a good album but Don't mess up my tempo ( or love shot repackage) is even better. In that one each song represent a member: "Sign" Chanyeol fire 🔥 "Oh lalala" Kai "Gravity" D O earth force "With you" Baekhyun light "24/7" Xiumin frost "Damage" Chen lighting/thunder "Bad dream" Sehun Wind "Smile on my face" Lay healing "Oasis" Suho water

All 9 members of EXO absolutely LOVE what they do and its evident in every performance, fan meet and media like this. I simply love them to bits. Kai is very good at singing as well and its a shame he couldn't be around for this. Thankfully he was around to vocalize in the EXIST album. CHanyeol and Sehun are the MAIN RAPPERS. CHanyeol also has his own singles and OST's he sings as well. No solo album yet, but we're crossing our fingers to get one eventually. He just came out with Good Enough and Stay with Me and SSFW and Yours are amazing as well. Not to mention, he and Sehun also have a sub unit called EXO-SC that has 2 albums under its belt. CHen, Baekhyun and D.O. are the three main vocals. Xiumin, Lay and Suho are the all rounders and Kai is the main dancer howerver , he his vocals and raps are also top notch. Both Sehun and Chanyeol sing as well as rap and all of them are good dancers. I've even heard Chen and Baek rap on occasion both in EXO and EXO-CBX. For lyrics, i would find lyric vids, the CC on this is really bad. So if you're curious about them, the lyric vids are better. It might interest you to know that Xiumin actually has the ability to sing the HIGHEST vocal note even though he isn't a main vocal.

we waited for so long for them to have a killing voice. The timing of Kai's military service really threw a wrench in the comback activities. But the remaining members did a good job taking over his parts. We all wished he didn't have to miss doing the Killing voice. Here's hoping they do another one when he comes back from MS.

And Chanyeol, I think, has the most underrated singing voice in the group! 😊

To make a baseball comparison, Xiumin is their utility player. He can do a little bit of everything. He can hit the high note, he can keep up with Kai on dance, and he's just an all-rounder.

Maybe you should watch cream soda recording behind the scene so you will know that they can really control the loudness of their voices. Exo is known to have good control of their voices Chens voice is loud ao he has to move farther away from the mic so that the mic wont explode but still will registee as if he is singing close to the mic.

Well technically the main vocalist gets the best parts of the songs ( Chen, Baekhyun and D.O) then the lead vocalists get cool parts (Chanyeol and Suho) and then Harmonies and the least lines goes to sub vocalists ( Xiumin, Kai and Sehun) Chanyeol gets the most rap lines and also the complex lines of the raps cause he is main rapper, Sehun as lead rapper ( and Chanyeol's student) gets the second most rap parts and Kai get a few rap part mostly in old songs cause he is sub rapper. Xiumin used to be lead rapper in EXO-M when they were separated in 2, but now he is kind of the main rapper in EXO-CBX while Baekhyun is Lead rapper for that subunit. Kai, Sehun and Lay are the main dancers too. I agree that Chanyeol should have more parts, but I am big biased, his voice is my favourite. 😊

I'm so grateful that you noticed Kyungsoo (D.O.)! The vast majority of people who watch this performance only talk about Chen's vocals (love him always), sometimes Baekhyun's vocals (love it to the moon), but not Kyungsoo's. And he is one of the most talented vocalists in k-pop. It's just the song selection (parts of songs in particular) that is to blame for the fact that we don't hear his highlights, only his steady vocals. But still its parts are like diamonds in a stream: you may not notice it at first, but it will still shine. His voice and parts are the heart and soul of EXO songs for me. Thank u so much

They dont have an mv. - when d.o mentioned "the superior orchestra" as an introduction to mama, its an inside joke w/ exo and exo fans. He was suppose to introduce it as "majestic orchestra" when they 1st were promoting it years ago but he got tongue tied and couldnt say it right and ended up stuttering/messing up on live tv and saying "superior orchestra" instead, he said he was so embarrassed back then 😂 - sm definitely unvalues Xiumin during part divisons for songs. He is actually the one in exo that can hit the highest note but he's never given it because exo prefers chen to be given all the high notes (even compared to baeksoo) He's even the only member to never have started a song. Every single other member has opened a song before other than him. I know he's not the strongest vocalist and he still has room for improvement but I think he's show his skills tenfold.

7:20 yeah Kai isn't there and I have to disagree with you here. It's a great loss for humanity that Kai wasn't here. He himself was actually very excited for this, but s.k sucks. Kai and Xiumin have lesser vocal lines in older songs, but that changed over the years. Alas they are in a group with super vocalists like Chen, Baek, D.O & Suho. But they showed what they are really capable of in their solo projects and I am very happy for them. Being the lead vocal in a group with 4 main vocals, who are the best in kpop is hard 😆. Same for Chanyeol and Sehun.
