Not saying this was intentionally a shot/pass, but I have seen it many times, it happens mostly when the box is crowded and you only have a 50/50 opening in the defense. So the shooter just aims to the side of the defender where the ball will certainly pass through, even if they know they have to hit it closer to the defender to slide it into the corner, they hit it a little more wide because they know if it misses theres a chance another player will get their foot on it.

A goal in the final for a 1-0 victory is more valuable to me than 4 goals in a 7-0 victory against a team that is relegated from the league. No matter how masterfully they were achieved. As I have heard, Benzema will not be at the World Cup, which significantly reduces his chances for the Golden Ball.
