If you manage to get your hands on a 2.5 v6 Auto SE spec 2001, this is the best vintage and really put together well, it has the least issues and has proven to do high miles without any major issues

Some of these jelous jerks need educating as to what an X Type is......admitted it is now Ford owned and does have the Mondao engine block and some of the Ford trimmings but it is only 37% Ford.....Test drive a Mondao and an X Type....the X Type wins hands down

Nope. I guess they make it different for the u.s. our base is 2.5 194hp also. I didn't think it would of been that different

The valves are clattering, and it doesnt even have the Jaguar on the hood. My 2002 has all leather, dual exhaust, I didnt even know it came with cloth interior. With 95K miles, in the US maybe $4200-4500.00.

I thought mine was a basic model, but looking at this, not so much.

Should just mention the Classic is the entry level and the 2.1 V6 is the smallest petrol engine available.

Wow nothing like mine. This looks fake. My xtype is a base with a 2.5 liter. Leather seats. Parks assist, dual exhaust screen for ac (like the one on the radio). All seats have full electric control. Every thing in that one just looks so cheap! And yes I have a 2002 in America

Poor spec on that one. My 2007 x type has full leather seats front heated seats, electric rear windows, front & rear parking sensors, sat nav, headlight washers etc etc.
