This review made me consider buying this exact Coolray variant. Happy to say after more than a year of owning this car, I have NO REGRETS! Even the after sales service is good. One of the best I’ve driven and owned. Yes, that includes Japanese and European cars. This is worth the hype. Don’t even think of it as Chinese, because if you’re driving it you’ll only think of it as a very good car.

Its competition. You want japan and other car brands to lower prices then china is the solution. They give quality interior and tech for its price. The way it should be.

Hyundai/KIA seems to be getting arrogant by excessively overpricing their cars here in the Philippines. This Geely Coolray really looks amazing and really is feature packed for the price! I bought a nicely equipped base 2015 KIA Rio with 1.6 liter (138hp) 6-speed manual (here in Canada) and at 90K+ km it's still a blast to drive and quite reliable. About 2 years ago, I had problems with unnecessary maintenance issues/charges so I started going elsewhere for upkeep of my car. Will be watching closely for long range update reviews about reliability/longevity of this impressive looking car.

Base model pa lng maganda na, okey na okey. Pero sa ganitong price maraming proven and tested brands ng sasakyan ka ng pgpipilian. Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki at iba pa. Ang hirap mgtiwala agad baka masayang lng ang pera. Pero pg tumagal na to at napatunayan na matibay sya at d madaling masira, for sure marami na din bibili nito kasi ang ganda nya.

It takes yiu from point a to b pero hindi daw ganun kareliable ang chinese cars. Pero very attractive sya gusto ko nga kaso ill wait for a couple of years

This compact Geely suv has the best technology, design and material so far.... compare sa toyota, isuzu, mitsu and nissan. euro design na sya, at ayus ang presyo! Parts availability and reliability is yet to be seen. ang warranty nito is 150,000km/5 yrs.

I already have an approved bank P.O. from BDO but most of the dealers already ran out of units daw. Our agent from Q. Ave told me that they can't assure us if a new batch of supply will arrive this month. We've been already waiting for two weeks now! Ang sad lang because I'm not sure if kung gusto ba talaga nila magbenta or what? lol nag bayad din kami ng reservation pero parang just for nothing din. So if you're planning to get a Coolray too, make sure that the unit is physically there

Pag gasoline yan cgurado magastos sa gas yan dahil may turbo, pero ok na rin sa presyong pang masa pero ang engine power pang high end at pang mayaman sa fuel consumption.

In terms of exterior and interior design, everything looks so good. Price is reasonable. The only thing that keeps people away is reliability since its very new plus it is from china. If maganda ang resulta in 1-2 years of use(daily), why not coconut? Hehe

For a Base Variant with LED Foglights, LED DRL, Halogen Headlights and High Beam and the remote key also has the remote engine start that I thought only is available on the top variant! And the price is at 978,000 for Manila price? It's definitely a good option when you are looking for a practical and unique car to buy whether it's your 1st car or 2nd one. :) I wish I can buy this soon. :) 👍🙂

DCT shifts gears faster but it's not advisable for stop and go traffic, which is the case in Manila. Well, unless Geely came up with technological innovations to address DCT's downsides, which I doubt.
