Dan I have been cutting grass and caring for my home lawn since I was in the 4th grade. I am over 60 now. You have taught me so much as an old dog and I greatly appreciate you for it. Your work ethic & servant's heart make you a MAN among men. Your sons are very blessed to have a dad with such a strong ethical character with an obvious deep love for them. Keep these videos coming sir. They are entertaining as well as educational and teach a great deal more than lawn care to those who pay attention......

I’ve been watching your videos for about a month. I discovered you when researching others companies pressure washing rigs. I’ve owned a landscaping company since 1994. We (landscaping is a separate business) stopped doing maintenance about 10 years ago and focus only on design and installation. We have always washed our clients homes at the end of each project and recently decided to create a separate business for pressure washing. Anyway, I enjoy the videos and tutorials. No one way is the right way in maintaining a yard as long as you know the growth needs and habits of all the plants and turf. I applaud you for not going with a huge mower and highly agree with why you don’t. We only used them on commercial properties with large areas of turf. All other areas and residential walk behinds were used. We charged more for using walk behinds and push mowers. Clients understood and were more than willing to pay a bit more. It turned out to be a huge selling point for us. Many future clients called us because we used equipment that wouldn’t rut the yards like their current or previous company. Just food for thought. Storms are beginning to brew out in the Atlantic! It’s the time of year to be prepared.

Honesty and integrity follow you around Dan and I really hope that you get some sponsorship in the near future as I can't find any other side hustlers with your knowledge or commitment and I've been watching you since you started

Thank you Michael. To be honest, I say it with pride when I admit I have no sponsorship or endorsements. Nothing worse than watching a video about something and come to find out the video is probably nothing more than an advertisement for that something.

I have a grass flap on my zero turn. I carried a wrench with me till I got the spring tension just right. Now it opens and shuts easily. I even feather it partial open when necessary.

Can u have flap half or quarter open ? So it still lets some grass out , but doesn’t throw it against a fence for example? Thanks

Does that pedal interfere with sulky operation
@DansVlog3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. In fact, I can ride around with my foot on the pedal and my other foot in the sulky and hold the grass flap open just a little bit almost like a side chute and then I can pop it open and pop it close with ease and I don’t have to worry about what step I am on in order to have my left foot free. The pedal operation with the grass flap chute blocker with the Velke is an awesome combination

Hey Dan! I have noticed you having slight issues with the pedal thingy, but I never said anything because I could tell you liked that gadget anyway. Plus, I try not to insert my thoughts into subjects I know nothing about, lol. Great review, the company that makes the product needs to see it. :) Hope you're having a great weekend.

I would like the grass flap except I like the bagger system I have for my scag walk behind. I have some bermuda yards including mine where i bag the clippings. When I get a stand on mower i will get a grass flap or similar chute blocker for that 52 inch deck but leave my bagging setup on the 36 to collect when i need it. I run the sulky behind my walk behind. I bet it would be easier on you closing and opening the flap since you dont need to stop moving forward since one foots on sulky and the other foot can kick it. you have 3 contact points.
@DansVlog5 жыл бұрын
So no way to attach the bag attachment with the flap installed? That’s a definite problem I will have to overcome as a bagger is my next major purchase coming soon
@strykerv16205 жыл бұрын
@@DansVlog no, i inquired and i would need the same grass flap you have. The mounting bracket attaches to the same 2 mounting points my bagger system needs to attach too. Now the scag is a solid metal side plate and the bag connects to that. the grass gobbler and those other bins may work around it but the scag bagger system wont.

The eXmark bagger I think slides into a hole in the deck. Maybe I will be lucky

Would the foot petal interfere with a velkie? Such as walking in reverse when the velkie does a 180 and is against the mower
@DansVlog4 жыл бұрын
Good question and we will soon learn as I purchase a velke soon. If it did swing around and hit the pedal it is an easy fix... set up the reverse so the velke swings around the other side.

@DansVlog4 жыл бұрын
Doubt it
@jc513734 жыл бұрын
so why not go with the Exmark one then?
@Draega0072 жыл бұрын
@@jc51373 I have the exmark ocdc and it adds almost 4" to the width of the deck so no longer getting in small gates (which is a main selling point for this size mower) and it's not that great because you have to use your hand to open and close it, which isn't efficient since you have to stop the mower to open or close it.
