They need more reviews of SAS on The Points Guy, and this video would help a lot. I like that they do videos with multiple people on the same flight taking video to compare. It's helpful!

Great video - wonderful footage and narration...thank you for sharing. sorry to hear you had a bad customer service experience. I've flown SAS Business Class many times and have had only good experiences with all the SAS staff I've dealt with.

Great video and description!!! I've had the same problems with so many other airlines, and I must say that: all airlines' customer service really doesn't care much about their customers, but anyway....... keep sending your videos, they're great! And even more so with the nodic landscapes! Hugs

Nice video! we will be flying SAS Airbus 350 next month CPH LAX and also in SAS Plus. It will be the first time with a 350 for us.

I flew SAS recently from Chicago to Copenhagen and back, they were offering upgrades to Plus or Business for a really good price (and my base SAS Go fare was already incredible!), but I decided not to upgrade at the time. It's nice to know I'll have that option in the future, though. Plus looks great!

Fantastic trip report. Liked and subscribed. The ground staffs were poor, and I think the crew could have given you a free upgrade considering your membership status. A bad day for flying!

I wonder if SAS offers complimentary meal service on REGULAR ECONOMY class during their long haul flights? I think they are adopting the LowCost policies where you need to pay extra for any services in the main cabin - checked bag, seat selection, hot meal, alcoholic beverages. But if you fly premium economy or business class - these are included in the price. Am I correct?

They offer complementary meal service on their long haul flights in regular economy. However you can upgrade your meal if you pay for it. The SAS Go class (economy) you need to pay extra for seat(unless you have status) checked bag, and alcoholic beverages. In Plus (Premium economy) and business everything is free 😊

Getting an upgrade on SAS seems always impossible since either their webpage is down *OR* you are not allowed to use points, sure we can sign up for the auction but frankly i dislike getting that notification halfway thru the flight.

Used to be SAS Gold about ten years ago when I was traveling a lot for work around Norway and back and forth to New York and the service was just as bad back then. Seems like the concept of upgrading is completely foreign to the SAS staff. I just flew SAS Plus to Miami a few days ago and the cabin, food and service was alright, but the inflight entertainment selection was a joke and not getting free WIFI on a premium flight in 2023 is really weird. There's also not nearly enough toilets as Economy and Plus shared toilets in the middle of the plane. Also: When flying to New York, landing at Newark is really, REALLY crap 😅

Nice video. I'll be flying sas plus on a350. Would you recommend the bulkhead seats on row 20 (the one in front of yours)? Seat guru says they have more legroom but i am not sure looking at the pics..

They for sure have more legroom. But then you have a smaller monitor attached to your seat. it was no problem with the legroom in the plus cabin after the bulk head. So depend on your height 😅😝

I had to chuckle when watching the display of the route map and the voice over. The airport that you flew into, EWR Newark Liberty International Airport, is not in New York its in New Jersey, yes definitely a greater New York City area airport but Newark is 100% in the state of New Jersey lol Video was very helpful though trying to decide if paying the extra is worth premium economy for a trip in the fall 😄

Just one small correction. There is no such thing as "New York International Airport" (0.34). You flew to Newark Liberty International Airport, which is actually in New Jersey, not New York.

True! The SAS service level is horrible these days; even in the lounges. The mid-aged Danish ladies are the worst, in my experience.

I think you are correct. I had so many clips flying over Iceland, but I also shot some over Greenland. Must have mixed them together when editing 🤦

@@AwardViking Teh fun thing is: Greenland is mostly White, Iceland mostly Green - except when I was threre duringca snowstorm in DEC Regarding your upgrade experience : I would much rather go Plus than Business if that meant I could avoid economy/Go entirely. onlyvtime I would prefer Business would be on a return/night flight and wanting to sleep. Sure, if you have unlimited points … go for business every time

Indeed. However, in SAS' monkey class you get one free (soft) drink per meal only. It's terrible.

Det har jeg forståelse for, men hun kunne sagt det med en hyggeligere tone og forklart at det kunne hun ikke. Det var ikke purseren som var problemet her, det var service desk personellet i Stockholm. Vanligvis er personalet ganske hyggelige på SAS, men akkurat denne flyvningen var ikke så veldig bra.
