Operated jointly by Stagecoach's North East & West divisions, this service was originally shared with Arriva, although following complications with their Newcastle network of services, they made the decision to discontinue operating service 685, with operations now being based out of the Slatyford depot, using 2x Enviro 300s...

FINALLY ABLE TO WATCH! Truly relaxing and smooth ride with fabulous rural scenery. Of course all credit to the driver with their incredible road management skills, negotiating narrow roads and extremely acute corners must require specialist knowledge of the route or sophisticated skills? This is really impressive and this route is bound to get busier as the better then warmer weather comes in. BONUS: Halogen traffic lights and spotting 22411 in a romantic setting, albeit outside a pub/restaurant in the countryside! 😊🤣

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! This route has some very sharp turns & narrow passing sections, particularly bad at Bardon Mill, where sometimes buses have to reverse if they approach at the same time. In regards to 22411, you'll be disappointed to know all of the ALX300s have now pretty much left Newcastle, with most being cascaded down to Stockton for further service in exchange for their Euro 6 Enviro 300s...
