I got a 15 a3 with 31k miles, got apr 1st week and tcu tune 1 year later, s3 rear brakes rs3 wheels and front bumper 3 month later, is38 apr tune at 128k and I got over 172k still running the oem water pump and I do all my regular maintenance, but the water pimp is a problem because my wife 15 a3 got replaced at 86k and 122k.

I thought APR stage 3 was big turbo setup? For the MK6 it’s the GTX…Isn’t the is38 a stage 2+ or OEM+ Style build? Either way it’s a clean setup, I dig it

For thr MK7 the IS38 is listed as APR stage 3. The borg Warner is 3+

@@savagepandaprojectsAPR makes up their own stage numbers for sales lol. The IS38 is commonly known to be a Stage 2+ mod, in the MK7/7.5 community.

A hybrid is38 from eqt tuning. They have the vortex and vortex xl hybrid turbos. They also carry the new garret turbo for the mqbs

My budget is more hp the apr stage 3 🤣. I’ve been looking into hybrid turbos and a lot of people are saying that they’re not good but I’m gonna check out eqt. Would a gtx3070 or 3076 fit or not worth it are there better? Sorry. What about the pull the trigger on a big turbo I don’t really want a highbred or a iOS 38 I want to big turbo something I can throw with straight bolt on.

@@Babyarmsss totally understand man! I'm with you on that. For me and Adam on our cars we we're already APR stage 2 so it was a pretty minimal upgrade cost to get the Stage 3 tune with oem IS38. EQT vortex Will absolutely make more power with the proper setup but you'll need to budget for tuning and fueling upgrades as well. Big cost difference for sure.
