These nails are beautiful! This may be a silly question but how do we request this at a salon? I want to make sure when I ask for gel nails that they extend the nail vs just apply gel to my natural nail (my nails are very thin and short). Thank you in advance!

do you do one finger at a time usually? if so, do you find it quicker or would you do all 4 then thumb at once. thats what i do and have been thinking about doing it individually

Question years ago I had someone do a liquid gel set using the plastic gel tips it was a clear jelly like substance and they would put under the lights is there a proper name for that stuff that I need to be asking when I call salons to find out if they use it I'm allergic to the powder acrylic or any powder product

One time I went to a nail salon inside of a Walmart super center, and online the nail salon had 4/5 stars, but once when they were pushing my cuticles back with a nail bit, it made me bleed and I was terrified because I never had, had this happen to me before. So everytime I see a video, or in real life, of someone pushing back a patients cuticles, it makes me *cringe* so hard.

A nail salon lady cut my cuticles once and I bled throughout the entire time...my blood ended up ruining the nail colour and I also almost lost conscience because of the amount of blood I lost. It was a terrible experience.

Wow your work is amazing, I'm in class and really struggling. We have to cut our forms, do you ever cut them and you are so quick, make me sad at how slow I am !

Hi beauty ! Thank you very much for your kind words 😘 I understand your struggle, I was very slow too in my beginnings and I learn all by myself without classes so it took me several years of practice to fasten up my work. I don't always cut the forms, sometimes it's not necessary depending on the nails I'm working on but, normally we have to do it haha 🙈 Don't worry if you think you are too slow ! My advice is: do every step perfectly because every step will help your next step, so it's better to do them slowly but perfectly than fastly but messily. And once you'll know to do everything perfectly you will have to practice and practice every day on clients. Make some challenges ! Like "I have to do the refill in ten seconds maximum for each nail" and do it as fast as you can but as perfect as you can. You will see progress if you stop distracting yourself while talking to your clients etc.. 😘❤️ I hope I helped you somehow ! Thank you one more time 💋

Do they have to cut the cuticles when doing gel nails? I have very sensitive skin, and once a lady at a certain nail salon cut my cuticles for a manicure and my fingers bled throughout the entire time, completely ruining my experience and my nail colour at the end.

You should never cut your cuticles... push them back using oil only. If there is accumulation, use a gentle cuticle remover gel. Let it sit a few seconds and then wipe away the excess cuticle. Cutting can severely damage the nail bed.

@craftmoo I cant always get a perfect c curve either I've tried 2 good brands of forms and I cut them, her nails are beautiful I dont personally like such an extreme curve but her work is still beautiful
