Only bummer thing is around the monitor you see the gap. I think you can get a bezel to go around the monitor to cover the gap.

Very nice review. I've been working on building a machine with Monster Arcades but they don't really do diy anymore and it's $$$. It's nice to see RRM is back and better.

Like the build but I would option for speakers that fits the opening and add a power subwoofer in the bottom.The LogItech 2.1 is very good sound system to.

Can you please provide info/link for the door upgrades. I'm aware of many magnetic catches, but I've never seen one that includes the locking catch shown. What about the nylon strip you used to replace the "button" too? Thank You.

Crazy idea: Throw a docked ROG Ally or Steam Deck in there. That way you have the full arcade experience plus a handheld for on the go.

Awesome review. Very detailed and fair. Im gonna have to see if they do racing cabs at somepoint cause tying something like this into the megacade had to happen for 2 player racing. And not to make a to long comment longer but the pixel marquee in the background towards the middle of the video is super cool!

Was close to pulling trigger on Star Wars art, but $250 not installed seems high. Also, it seems they need to adjust their tolerance for the dowel holes. They should fill the dowels with paper in the meantime, since a lot of folks won't have your experience.

It’s DIY so you gotta build it that way, just get the smart power strips that turn on all four outlets when it detects a load on the fifth. Usually those are $30 or less

how did you setup the controls? I tried retroarrch but it only let me set up one side, and both sides match now. I also couldn't even detect, it was listed as NA even though I could program some buttons.

Just a standard ultimarc ipac-mini inside, you can use their app called winipac to reprogram or what I did was simply switch it from keyboard mode to gamepad mode so it shows up as two gamepads. hold down player 1 start and player 1 button 3 for 10 seconds to switch to gamepad mode.

Do the admin buttons work with the Pandora's Box? Trackball? Spinner?

Admin buttons that work: player 1 start, player 2 start, player 1 coin, player 2 coin. I could not find a game that works with a spinner but when you plug in the other usb the Pandora’s box flashes a message on the bottom: ‘USB Mouse detected’
