He's the maintenance director of a nursing home. three maintenance men work under him making $20 per hour that's less than 50 grand a year .. $35,000 plus difference in pay.. it's ridiculous. he doesn't do on call he doesn't work Fridays he gets every holiday off while we have to work. he comes in at 8:00 a.m. and leaves at 3:30 That's 7 and 1/2 hours before days that means he's putting in 28 hours a week.. this is happening all over the place in my state.

Business owners can Jack up prices only so much, and it usually hurts them too because it results in lower sales. The blame lies squarely on Biden. The millions of migrants illegally coming into the country aren’t helping either, the increased demand for goods and services raises demand which means higher prices. The State of the Union Address is delivered to Congress, which consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The reason for all the commotion is because of the House of Representatives, which is the more rambunctious body of the two. The House of Representatives has a history of being very vocal and the behavior dates back to the very foundation of our country and even prior. It is that same rambunctiousness that resulted in the Boston Tea Party, the Civil War, and most importantly the Revolutionary War, as well as the Constitution and Amendments we Americans hold onto and cherish so dearly. If you want seriousness go watch a US Senate hearing, but be prepared to be bored out of your mind or possibly bang your head against the wall at the stupidity you’ll sometimes witness. Trust me, after watching a Senate hearing you’ll oddly appreciate boisterousness like this lol

A pretty good speech, I think. The ideas were on point. With regards to his delivery, the man had a speech impediment and became a politician anyway. It’s been shown that people, when they aren’t told who or what party said something, agree with policies. These are sensible, humanistic policies that he’s talking about. You must vote on the policies, not the party or the person. This person had achieved so much behind the scenes to do what he believes, which is to help all Americans. He doesn’t brag about his track record on Twitter. But he’s actually gotten an immense amount of stuff done. That’s what he does- he does his job as an elected public servant of the people. That’s what a president should do.

President Biden Turned 81 years old last November and Trump should turn 79 years old this June and so the difference in age is not even 5 years long. Compare this is with Trump's 2019 SOTU. Trump talks about unity, bringing the parties together, how strong America is, the bipartisan bills they passed, etc. And Biden screams with hate and divisiveness while talking badly about all republicans while also taking credit for the things republicans have accomplished. I’m a Republican, but that was a strong State of the Union by President Biden. It also convinced me that Mike Johnson has to go. Mike Johnson agrees on the concept of some of the things Biden said, but not the approach - never the approach. In order to do what Biden wants to do we'll have to become a Socialist country. Democrats may embrace that course of action, but Republicans NEVER will. Nobody seems to be able to say where all these "free" perks are going to come from when we're all "equal". Where is the incentive to excel at anything if we're all equal? Let me give you an example: Let's say the least expensive house in the United States is $10K, and the most expensive house is $100K. We're working toward "equality", right? You live in one and I live in the other. The government decides to make us equal, so they decide we both need to live in $50K houses. One of us worked hard for their $100K house, kept it nice and clean and groomed when they weren't working at a job; they don't want to leave the home they love and are proud of to move to a house with a value of half of the one they worked for, especially since there's no financial compensation for what they just lost. The person who lives in the $10K house draws welfare and food stamps; his porch has a non-working dryer sitting on it, and the yard is mostly dirt. The government gives him a house that's worth five times what his old house was worth, and he has to do nothing in return for that upgrade. (Actually what's more likely to happen is that we would both end up living in a $10K house.) Where's the equitability in that scenario? One of us just got rewarded for doing nothing, and the other one just got screwed. Yeah, sign me up for that! Let's tax the wealthiest corporations 25% and watch them lay off employees; they're not going to just absorb that tax rate and smile about it. Free health care, free education - who's going to pay for that raise he wants to give teachers? How about we talk about taking some of the power away from the politicians? Biden talks about corporate jets; what about the jets owned by the people sitting in that crowd listening to him? What about the pay raises they vote for themselves? What about the private insurance program they enjoy that they designed for themselves? (What great ideas those two things are!) How about we get rid of the private gym and the restaurant(s) and the hair salon(s) right there in the building where they work? How about they tighten their own belts before they start shoving crap down our throats? How about we put them on a budget that they have to balance at the end of each quarter? How about we tell them they need to limit their trips to their home states to 2 weeks out of the year - you know, like people who work regular jobs going on vacation? How about we tell them they need to work a regular work day - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour for lunch? No more voting on things in the middle of the night and no more folding 20 items into one vote? How about we make it a felony or at least a fireable offense to make any contact whatsoever with lobbyists? Seriously? Nobody can think of anything to do besides continue with the status quo? WAKE UP!

Our plant was idled in hopes of our jobs would be used as a bargaining chip in the contract negotiations. We had the best quality and attendance records within Stellantis til the day they idled us. And they told us our success didn't matter, that our hard work wasn't making them enough money to matter to them. If it wasn't for the union leaders and president Biden fighting so hard to get union to agree to a great contract that included the reopening of our plant thousands of workers would have lost their jobs, the local economy in the area would have been devastatedly impacted for years to come. they saved thousands of jobs and keep great workers and their families together who might have had to relocate to keep their jobs in other plants, or one parent would have had to relocate alone if the entire family couldn't move. Thats why Biden will have the support of the UAW. For standing with us on the picket line and showing how much our job matters to our Nation, and that We the Workers matter! #WeAreBelvidere #UAW1268

Homes in my hometown start at $60k for a fixer-upper, and go up from there. My house, which I just sold to my son, was appraised at $150,000. It's a 3 bedroom double wide on 6 acres. In real estate, it's all about location. 🤔🤷
