I've been a David Gray fan since I first heard his track "Babylon" over 10 years ago. I adore Annie Lennox.

I love performers who sing with passion and conviction, and no one does that better than Annie Lennox and David Grey!

Amazing collaboration they compliment each other perfectly.

What I love about this song is that while it seems obviously to be about the "demise of western society" because of a financial crisis, the lyrics are open enough to be applied to a relationship between two people. It's a very versatile song, and like a lot of his stuff could be interpreted many ways. That being said, He and Annie Lennox together is a match made in heaven. :)

We all saw it coming and we still bought it.

Let us not forget the compassion with which this song was performed, something we all need to learn is that all great nations died because they lost the ability to act with compassion towards those in need ... Peace to David and Annie for this simple act of compassion..

For the anecdote, the album was recorded at the Church Studios (the former studio of Eurythmics which had been bought by David Gray in the early 2000s) and Annie Lennox rebuked David Gray because he kept the original decoration (especially carpets and tartans)...

There is something about this video that draws me and makes me watch it over and over. Annie is absolutely gorgeous and there is SO MUCH PASSION here. This is such a strong and beautiful performance. Playful, strong, sexual, beautiful and meaningful. Everything music and performance should be.
