Ghosh wanted to cast Vidya Balan in his film. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. Consequently the film was made in Bengali. And it was Abohomaan! 😊

@@rittikde8848 Well, the initial cast was Amitabh Bachhan, Jaya Bachhan, Abhishek Bachhan with Vidya Balan. And the film was originally thought of for Hindi.

He was supposed to do a remake of Guide with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. It was titled Rahgir. But Dev Anand didn't sell the rights.
