What do you guys think will be Captain Howzer's fate? Will the Empire perhaps try to "intensify his programming", like they did with Crosshair? Will Captain Rex take interest in him? It is very clear that the character is becoming a fan favourite already. I mean, no wonder, with hair like that...

My guess is they will send him back to Kamino and the others to be recycled for their DNA. But the Kaminoians will secretly start the clone rebellion on Kamino with his help to train others.

I find howzer interesting, even how he affected hunter. Howzer didn’t leave his men. He stuck beside them. Which clearly struck hunter as he left crosshair behind. Wonder how that kind of moral conflict will influence hunter

I’ve always felt like the phase 1 clone helmets an armour seem more friendly and approachable whereas the phase 2 seem more hostile and aggressive

The Helmet looks uninviting but the armor is good and comfortable the only mistake was the helmet makes a vague skull like appearance.

Most likely will happen and hopefully none of the bad batch members die in their first season, but the random clones and Howzer. Would be great to get a season with Crosshair and the bad batch plus omega together again on the same side.

Howzer is a relic of the clone wars not just cause of his cloning, but he’s a memory of those troopers that really believed in what the Republic was supposed to stand for. Though i hope he is more than a memory, and lives through the Empire that betrayed him and his bros. Btw the Vader “You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! TAKE HER AWAY!” Section surprised me in such a good way OT dopamine :0

Crosshair showing more and more sorrow... and hunters guilt when he turned back to look at Howzer thinking how he left Crosshair but Howzer didnt... We all expected Crosshair to shoot the Howzer but he let the Howzer finish his monoloque even spared his life... maybe he also do know its all wrong and perhaps his chip fried from the engine accident... I expect Crosshair to join Badbatch

Pause at 4:50 and look at the normal clone guard to the left, at 4:50 he only have 1 shoulderplate and at 4:54 we can see him again in the back, This time with 2 shoulderplates.

Ya know, I like the idea that more clones defected from the Empire than we originally thought. Maybe not an entire division worth of clones, but enough that they might still be common on the earlier Galactic Civil War battlefield. It really calls back to when Rex said, “We all had a choice”. They did, I didn’t believe that at first, I thought it was the inhibitor chip that made them do it, but here is Howzer, with a chip, making up his own mind that this was wrong, and some of his men, also making up their own minds. I’d love to see a rag tag bunch of a 100 or so clones, each wearing armor from the different divisions they were from, all coming together under the understanding that the empire is not the suitable replacement o the republic they fought for.

In the Karen Travis novels, a mandalorian by the name of Kal Skirata formed an entire clan based off of clones who defected after the war ended, and sent secret invites all over.

The clones might still see Jedi as the bad guys due to their inhibitor chips messing with their brains, but that doesn't affect how they came to care about the people they protected alongside them, and they would start to realize the true face of the Empire if they were kept in service. That's why Palpatine stopped the production of clones and started to replace them for stormtropers. He would soon had come to be in the wrong side of Order 66 if he hadn't.

I love that when the empire came in, all the Clone Commanders had to conform to the uniform by swapping the shoulder to which their Pauldron sat on. But for Howzer, you can see that he just turned the pauldron around as given by his battle worn state. He most likely wasn't able to gain newer equipment given the occupation so he just comformed to the uniform regulation as best he could.

@@thecockneyterritory4869 Order 66 only accounts for Jedi, Howzer still would have hunted down a Jedi if he had seen one, but that doesn't apply to civilians. Their perspectives aren't twisted by their inhibitor chips, so they can make decisions on their own based on their experience, even if that meant rebelling against the empire.

@@thecockneyterritory4869 I think he attacked them because they were acting against Order 66, not only they had helped Jedi escape from the other clones, they were trying to remove their own chips, which would have been seen as treason by clones whose chips were activated.

Howzer gained fame way quicker than any clone ever did, including Rex. I guess certain actions really do paint a powerful image if done in short time like that.

to think that a few clones of howzer's squad were persuaded makes me feel like there's more deserted clones out there. Maybe even a whole legion O_O? That would be very cool. They'd be old like in rebels, but would be so cool to see the clones who fought for the republic

Same here they could have an arc where they find out he’s still alive and in prison and with the help of az they break into the prison and all other deserters. Apparently in season 2 there will be a time jump if so they could have bail organa tell cid and pay cid to get the bad batch to break into prison to free howser and other clones because they need the clones help to aid a rebellion and that could kick start rebellion or have Wolfe inform Rex since they haven’t interacted yet. Before Wolfe has chip removed he could call Rex a traitor and tell him he will be locked away for treason and bring up howser before Wolfe has chance to arrest Rex, rex then knocks him out gets in touch with the bad batch and notify them howser is alive and tells them which prison. They agree to go on the mission with Rex to raid the prison and free howser however howser doesn’t want to leave without the remaining of his squad then they free all the remaining clones squad. They all escaped. After howser could go his own way with his troops however promises he will be there if Rex or Hunter if they need him or his troops die trying to escape then howser has a choice join the bad batch to go on missions for cid or go with Rex and Wolfe to kick start a rebellion and go on mission to find as many disserted clones. Just my idea of how they could bring howser back

He's a Gen 1 clone, like Rex, you can tell from his eyes, the way he talks, carries himself, etc. Very reminiscent of Rex and many other Gen 1 clones. Most Gen 2's and every Gen 3 clones were extremely obedient due to being fresh off the line and not having fought and survived in the clone war since it began on Geonosis. A lot of Gen 1 troopers think more independently due to experience gained over time and age.

The main reason these characters, along with their Jedi Generals, didn’t get much screen time was cause there was little point in getting attached to minor characters who would either perish or follow through with Order 66

The inhibitor chips don’t exactly mind control you but they force you to do things like imagine being set on fire you still have control but it overrides you to such an extent where you’re forced to do it and judging by the burn mark on his head it’s likely it didn’t happen and remember order 66 only affects Jedi

I believe howzer did receive order 66 but since there were no jedi on ryloth the chip wasn't as active like with the others besides tech did say in episode 1 that all the com channels were saying order 66 so Howzer must've heard it

If I had to guess, probably 187th. After the Battle of Ryloth, some clones stayed behind to protect the planet and I am guessing Howzer was part of that detachment.
