What size deck, trucks, and wheels? Im new to skating and don’t understand the way sizing works. I bought an 8.5 inch deck and got 149mm trucks but what size wheels should i get? 53mm?

Wheel size depends on if you want to cruise or do tricks but usually it’s a personal preference what size you get

If you want low trucks and have wheels over 54mm you might need some risers to prevent wheelbite. And if you do get risers make sure that the hardware fits. If you get a 1/8 riser you will need 1" hardware to fit.
