That is a pretty cool old school build that you got there. If you want some links to good facebook 250r groups I'm a member of about 8 of them. Just let me know. I have 2 250r's myself and have been building/riding them for almost 30 years.

Also, swap to 450R brakes all the way around and you can to LTR450 spindles and front geometry. I’m doing it to my 1986. I also broke my right ankle so kick start is not ideal, but Panthera racing makes an e-start kit for the 250R motor. Laeger also isn’t the best for a 250R anymore, and they don’t make the protrax front end anymore. The guy that did the fabrication for Laeger left the company and started JD Performance which are just as good but cheaper. You also have Roll Design and Lonestar as well.

ive waited this whole time for this build . i wouldnt even waist my time buffing the fenders . just put graphics on and youll never know about the holes either . it wouldve been cool to see that bike as it was back in the day . i bet it was cool and moved . try ISF racing they took over leagers and build the narrow and t pin front ends now plus other stuff . it would be cheaper than buying old rusted , bent leager a arms that some clown in the 250r groups is wanting 3x the price for a part thats no good . i do not buy used 250r parts anymore ..... unless it comes from Sean Shedlarski hes an honest dude that bend over backwards to help . hes looking for an 88-89 oem frame for me at the moment
