lol Nice!!! i've seen some videos of outerwears (ie mesh cover) on the chassis of some MCDs (i think a W5 which is the same platform) to protect the insides from all that dirt. I find that the XR5 does collect a lot of dirt inside the body. keep ripping it! it can handle it, unfortunate loss on that brake servo. cant wait for the next one!

Hay mate cool video how does the gas engine comper to electric what do you think is best for the car ??? Any advice would be great cheers

electric is quiet. and super fast, incredible torque and high speed. We are running on 2 4s batteries, those are about 300dollars canadian to buy and they are starting to puff. It seems as though you need 3 sets of batteries to run the same time as one tank of gas. gas is fun for longer, electric is insane fast and quiet. hope that helps.

hey! thanks for the kind words. It doesn't come rtr. they are very race prepped cars. cardinal racing will build you a car if you're looking fo something ready to go. the mcd are another level of rc cars. Parts available as well. check out the mcd races in the europe on youtube to see them in their natural habitat.

I did. im shipping them to cardinal this weekend. They aren't on the car because i've been fitting them and doing led wiring. body is pretty beat up now. might not make sense to put them on.

Why do you use mechanical brakes on electric ?

because this thing weighs 50lbs. and to brake that weight puts massive strain on the esc. the mechanical brakes work super well

That thing has to much power for a rally car its not manageable its all over the place i bet your barley on the throttle and your spinning out . Killer car but it seems to need adjustments idk maybe im wrong .

it's not made to do this. it's a full blown street car with limited travel. The W5 would be the mcd platform for lose dirt. But... if you have one of these, why not try it out.... you know? everything doesn't have to be super prepped and over analyzed. Just a fun day out in the woods.
