Had the opportunity to view a number of your older videos, and I now understand that you trade your extra specimens with other collectors. Since I’m a macro photographer, not a collector, I have nothing to trade with you. I did enjoy your video on photographing your collection - nice, clean images. In my macro photography, I look toward capturing detail that appears beyond 1x using microscope objectives attached to a relay lens giving up to 10x at the moment. Butterfly scales begin to appear as large, interlocked roofing tiles. Eyes become multifaceted gems, and antennae become suspended chains. I’ve never purchased insects before, but I was willing to pay for what might be available. I’d be interested if you can recommend a safe, reliable seller. Thx.

Still would love to learn what makes each of these insects who/what they are. Why they evolved into their particular species. Basically, their history relative to other flora/fauna. Would be really cool.

Hello how are you? I hope all is well with you and your family. Belated happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas when it gets here! I watch all the time and sometimes do not get a chance to comment so just wanted to let you know I still really like all the bids you do and keep them coming because for one person, I like them! Thanks again for taking the time to do these things for us, it really means a lot!

Thanks for an interesting look at your Orthoptera collection. About half way through the video, I was planning to ask why you hadn’t spread any of your specimens, but that was soon resolved. Top views of Orthoptera is valuable, but spread views really make them stand out. A few videos ago I had inquired about any specimens you might have that you don’t curate, and if you were willing to part with any of those. Being well past “Medicare age”, my access to the field is limited. If not, can you recommend any sites that would be a good source of specimens at a reasonable price for photography? Thanks again - the variety and color is amazing.
