What does a win over MVP mean since his career was outside the UFC, he isn't ranked high, and he is untested as far as most casuals and even commentators are concerned. The reporter asked whether Garry downplaying a W over MVP had merit to it. He wanted MVP to react to that. It isn't stupid if you have an IQ higher than 40 and understand how journalism works.

It's such a weak thing to say that if he wins, it's not giving Garry anything! We have all seen it before when fighters do something spectacular, they tend to get bigger fights, even though its not a ranked one. Now he has plated the idea and will not get anything if he wins.
