We successfully converted our Mercedes Vario 814 Van into a beautiful campervan / tiny home on wheels! All the stress, sweat and tears were totally worth it and she looks GLORIOUS!! Massive thank you to everyone that helped - we couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks so much to everyone who has watched and commented on this series - CUSTARD IS (ALMOST) COMPLETE! 😂It has been the ultimate challenge but we are so pleased with the result. We forgot to mention that she PASSED the MOT and we are on the road already. You're coming to Germany again?! Yay!!!! There's a spot in the Eifel mountain region (in the west near by Cologne). It's called "Vogelsang" which is a place full of history and it's surrounded by stunning nature. A former colleague of mine runs it but they're not well equiptet yet. A long the rhine river are a lot of beatiful spots often located directly at the river banks. There's a camping ground in the south of Bonn overlooking the islands and the mountains. I'd suggest to make your way up from Switzerland along the rhine river with lake Constance, Mittelrheintal and it's ancient castles, Loreley Mountain, Koblenz, Cochem, Burg Eltz and try some Moselriesling and see all the beatiful surroundigs then make your way to belgium via the Eifel mountains (the border goes right through it) and stop at Lake Bütgenbach. Also the city of Maastricht isn't far, it's right next to the belgian border and it's also worth visiting. The south and the west of Germany and the neighbouring countries are just stunning and I am not just saying it because I am from Cologne myself 😃 hope that helped a little

Looks really good, I’ve worked with a few drivers who have converted old coaches and minibuses into campers and yours looks fabulous. Can I be cheeky and suggest maybe installing an emergency glass hammer next to your bed just in case of the unlikely there is a fire near your door where most of your electrics seem to be located. They’re relatively inexpensive and there was probably one in the bus when you bought it, it’s highly unlikely you’d ever need it but it could be a life saver if you did as bus and coach windows are very strong and not kicked through easily. I hope you guys have many happy travels ahead.....

I just gobled up the whole series today. Wicked fun to watch. Custard is a gem. I know her history later on. Seeing the beginning was a treat. One can never say you two are not hard workers. You rock. When Amy was learning the saws I was thinking. Well those abilities will come in handy very soon with the house. Hopefully it is not as rusty as custard was. lol :)

Tip...turn the fridge down. On it's lowest setting it works just fine so long as it is shut most of the time. Turn it up on-site down on the road. X

Beautiful bus! A bit of advice... You guys run a fridge, water pump and everything else on a 210-watt solar panel... if you add a tv it will not last long at all... you should definitely add one more panel if you're not going to be plugged in camping spots most of the nights. It's a big bus with a lot of stuff and requires a lot of electricity. cheers!

So sick guys! This place looks beautiful! You guys killed it. What a sweet place to live! What i would suggest is get one of the little Jump boxes. They are great for outdoors if you want to just sit outside or need a light you can plug into it but also in case you need a quick jump. Also If you stop at the hardware store they have magnetic screens that you can clip together as at night to leave the door open but keep bugs out! Super rad guys! Excited for the rest of the journey

Hi Guys, absolutely awesome! One thing you might want to put on your water system if you haven't already done it, is an actuator, it stops the water pump kicking in and out, day and NIGHT! There about £40 and really easy to fit. Good travels

Hey Mart! We have a button to turn on the water pump and usually turn it off at night! We’ve been travelling for about a week now and it hasn’t seem to kick in unless we’re using it? We must have something that does that but I haven’t got a clue 😂 someone else fitted it! 😂

This is the most stunning bus conversion I've ever seen. Your taste in decor is impeccable. I love it all, especially the jute flooring on your stairs as you go into the bus. I also love the way you have put rope on the pole in a later video. I am building a sewing table with a beech butcher block and using white Ikea table legs and am going to pinch your idea of the rope around the table legs as I also have a beach theme going on in my sewing/music/guest bedroom. I am also redecorating my campervan here in Perth Australia and hope it turns out as beautiful as your bus thank you for the inspiration. You two rock.

Regarding your bed lift problem, many modern motor cruising boats have a lift up double bed to use the storage cavity below using gas struts. I know this from looking over what we could not afford at boat shows.

Great work! The only thing I'd concerned about is the greenhouse effect with all the glass windows. You will be baked! And there will be floods of condensation water... Of course the light and the view are nice, but I would replace the glass with metal and insulate it. You could either weld it in or just make pieces of metal in the exact size of the windows and put them into the seals.

Custard looks so beautiful!! Congratulations on your first home together. Also, if you get chance, definitely go swimming in a Swiss lake - there are so many spots but my favourite is lake Brienz in Interlaken. You can find some really quiet corners to park Custard and go for swim in the glacier water whilst surrounded by the Alps! Lots of love xx
