At the 2020 Summer Olympics, Anita Włodarczyk of Poland won the hammer throw event with a throw of 78.48m. Włodarczyk is the only woman to ever win the Olympic hammer throw three times in a row.
Zheng Wang of China followed in second place to take the silver medal. Bronze went to Malwina Kopron of Poland.

Thanks for hearing my petition! Anita Wlodarczyk made history here and she should be considered as one of the best athletes in Track and Field history.

Anita should be in hall of fame. 3x Olympic champions, 4x world champion, world record holder with cosmic 82.98m. Best 6 results in history belongs to her.

I remember polish commentator in Rio saying that it would be great if Anita would be able to compete in Tokyo but he was not so sure as she needed to compete 4 more years to achieve that. Not 4 but 5 years later she won next gold olympic medal ;) And 3 years after that she is preparing for Paris 2024 :) It is simply unbelievable :)

Americans literally never deliver in the hammer throw unlike Poland. Americans can have all the world leads and the second women’s over 80m throw and when it comes to the championships they break like glass under pressure.
