My wife was born and raised in the desert and if the temperature falls below 70 it's "cold" to her; this vest is perfect thanks!

Thanks for this video! Just got my vest and no instructions on how to turn it on til i saw your video showing we turn it on by holding down the button for a few seconds and how to wait until the light stops flashing after 3 MINUTES or so). So then I figured out to turn it off hold down button a few seconds light will go out. I was about to return it til I saw your video. Pretty cool little jacket. This one heats up the pockets and the back within a few minutes toasty warm.

Thank you for the very detailed and unbiased review. I can tell this review is real and honest, which is rare on youtube now. I like how you gave details regarding how the vest was useful for you personally (girlfriend), but also, especially, for the last bit about how this could theoretically save your life! What backs that up though was your hyper detail. You pulled out the temp gauge and gave readings. I dont demand "scientific journal" style datapoint accuracy, but most reviewers wouldnt even bother doing that. or if they did would just throw in a thermal reading datapoint for a quick "check the box" style scene that would last 3 seconds. You spent alot of time on that...and thats one of the things that sold me on the honesty of your review. Was it a "scientific standard" test? No. Was it a "real world" test? Hell yes! And in most cases, consumer products arent going to nuke or poision anyone....so the test is..."does it work". And you did that, and did it well, above and beyond most reviews. Thank you.

I am glad you liked the video. I only do reviews on things I like and use. My girlfriend loves this vest so I thought I would share it. It can be hard to fit in a lot of information while trying to keep the video short so I am glad you found it useful. Take care and happy camping. Jim

as a person who has a second opinion ill say that I have the hoodie version of these vests. let me tell you these things LAST. I've been using the thing for the past 5-6 years and only now is the battery starting to show some age. the hoodie has a tiny little hole in the arm which is a little annoying but once its on its on and it's super comfy, heavy duty, and warm (obviously)

Colorado - even their thermostats are a gun hahahaha Kidding! Actually this is one of the best reviews of this that I've seen. I moved back home to Buffalo NY so, definitely gonna give this a go. Not sure if vest or jacket would be better, but either way one extra heat in the winter months will be great. Thanks!

I will definitely be getting one. I am considering getting several battery packs though. That way, it is possible to get heat almost infinitely. This could also be a heating solution for electric car owners in the winter. I will use it for motorcycle riding mostly.
@spiffyc92482 жыл бұрын
just make sure you wear it on top or under motorcycle leather. that stuff saves your life so its not exactly smart to sacrifice it to combat wind chill (no matter how brutal it is)

They have a pretty thin profile. My girlfriend wears it underneath her tight jackets all the time and she says it's really comfortable. I think they're really cool. And the battery time is pretty impressive. Thanks for the comment and take care. Jim

I've got one of these too. I'm not surprised she gets questions, when the vest is on that LED is *bright.* I cut a square of electric tape and covered the front, but I can still see the color on the edges.

Finally a review that I can see for this product. Definitely will buy it. Do you think this will work well wearing it inside a suit? I try to not want to wear layers when wearing a suit to work but it’s gets brutally cold and am thinking using this will erase need for an extra jacket.
@fullmoonadventureclub5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. This should work just fine underneath the suit. Jim

This is an amazing review! Thanks so much . Can you tell me what size you bought your girlfriend? Do you know her chest and waist measurements? I want this vest for Christmas and I wanna make sure I ask for the correct size . I have a 36 inch chest and 27 inch waist , for reference. Most size charts are inaccurate. That’s why I’m asking you . LOL . Could I use any USB battery pack for this , or only their brand ? Thanks again 😊
@fullmoonadventureclub5 жыл бұрын
I wish I could help with the measurements but I have no idea. I know hers was a small and it fits well with a little room. I don't think you can use any battery pack as it requires a certain voltage and needs to communicate with the button for high medium and low settings. I hope that helps. Take care and happy camping. Jim

How long does it take to charge them? And also the battery is about 5200MA, can we purchase a 20000Ma battery from Amazon and just plug it and get them to last 4 times longer? Plust they're only like $50 on Amazon.

Heated vest is all that is needed. If you heat your core the rest is fine.. BUT ** these things are intended to be worn with a snug fit with nothing but a thin t shirt under them. leaving the lofty coat to insulate on the outside.. snug fit is the key. this lady could use the next size smaller by the looks of the vest's fit.
@Janewski115 жыл бұрын
How are the sizes? I have a friend who likes to hunt, and I would guess that she takes a medium, so I wondered if the sizes are a bit on the large side, the small side, or just right?
@fullmoonadventureclub5 жыл бұрын
My girl friends fit just fine but I'm afraid I don't know much about sizing for a woman. I would say they are pretty spot on. If you wear a medium size shirt try the medium. Good luck and happy camping. Jim

I have the jacket, and it DOES NOT work very well. It does get a little warm, but not real hot. And it only has 3 heating coils, one in the back, and two in the front in the upper left and right chest area. That is not enough, they should have coils in the lower back, the sides, and the lower right and left front area. Just having them in the back and the upper right and left chest area does not do much. You can feel the back one pretty good, but you can barely feel the two in the front, you can barely even tell they are on, unless you push them in against your chest. I would say DO NOT buy the jacket, it is not worth it. Once you go outside in the cold you can barely even tell the heating coils are working, you feel the back one a little, but not the two in the front. The vest may be better, I do not know, but I do know the jacket is not worth it, because they do not have enough heating coils in it. And the battery charge did not last as long as they said, they say 3 hours on high, I only got a little over 2 hours on high, maybe 2.5 hours at the most. Not to mention the price of a 2nd battery, way too much, $70. I only paid $140 for the jacket, the battery, and the charger, and they want $70 for a 2nd battery, which is way too high, they should not be more than $50, at the most.
