BMW got it right when they made the e46 M3. The e46 will always be one of my fav M3’s and the e92 M3 competition pack Mystic blue looks very similar to Le Mans blue. A great colour

Thank you very much, appreciate that! As for being an SMG 😄, I actually like them. All 3 of my M3s have been SMG's. Maybe the next one I buy, I'll go for manual to see if it's really true that the manual is the one to have 😁. I have the CSL software for the gearbox and it improves the gear changes and makes them much sharper but I do get it why many people love the manual gearbox 👍

@@Sam_AMG I have a SMG M3 as well! Obviously it's not in the same condition as yours!

@@datastorageable how do you find the smg gearbox? There is always the option now to convert it to manual as it's not a very big job to do. If you love the car and the only thing that's a negative, it's always an option. I honestly don't mind smg but I get it why some prefer manual

@@Sam_AMG I actually like the SMG for performance but don't like it for the lack of reliability and cost that I have put in to relocate the pump and electronics away from the heat, replaced all the internal seals, replaced with a Burkhart pump, replaced the accumulator. At a certain point, it is just frustrating. Where I live, I don't have many shops that are seasoned experts at the manual swap. I wish I lived in a place where they do these all the time.

@@datastorageable o wow, you've had some problems with it. I can understand why you don't like gearbox so much, sorry to hear that. Issues that take forever to sort out can ruin the experience of owning and enjoying a nice car because when they work as they should, they are fantastic cars. Where abouts are you from?

I spent nearly £10k on the restoration but many of the jobs were done by myself with the help of a friend. For example, I spent £1k on the underside restoration because I done everything myself including welding the plates on the subframe. If I had to pay someone just for the underside, it would have cost anywhere from say £5k to £8k just for that alone.

They're the original ones but painted silver , just to make them look fresh

Normally they are around 343bhp from factory but from what I've seen, when they put them on the dyno this engines normally make between 310 - 330bhp give or take 👍. My car is standard, no engine modifications

Hard to put a price on something like this. When a car looks as good as this and it’s done to a high standard, the only thing that will make a change on its value is the mileage. If it has 20k - 40k miles, it would be worth £50k in my opinion. If it has 100k on the clock, it would be worth £25k - £30k at a guess.
