tbh I love how no matter the MMO, no matter the game mode, Warrior is just simply fun.

Its actually a little funny. Everyone see's warlock as the easiest class. Meanwhile, its got the lowest completion rate and highest death rate. Because its sleeper challenge.

Priest is by far my favorite classic class. I love the simple loop of dot, bubble, wand, renew when bubble pops, spirit tap all the mana back, rinse and repeat. Anytime I hop on I know I can just have a simple time and chat with folks around me.

You can definitely push yourself on those “easier” Classes to do quests other classes wouldn’t try

I think that all the classes have the potential to be a lot of fun, it just depends on how you play the game. Playing the game 100% optimally, in my eyes, takes out a lot of the enjoyment. For example, I've been leveling up a warlock in preparation for the hardcore servers, and I've been trying out creating a Succubus Demonology warlock, buffing my pet up as much as possible, and its been quite fun. 'Part of the whole point of hardcore is that its more about the journey then the destination. I hope that people take the opportunity to try out new things like ghost rogue or shadow priests.

Between Mage and Rogue when I started Warcraft at launch, I had more fun on a Rogue leveling. Being able to stealth in caves or any close queaters felt incredible after pulling to kill as a Mage idk that's just what I remember from back in the day.

Being brand new to the game, Wow classic HC is the funnest I've ever had playing PVE. Due to not knowing what I don't know, like insta spawns, skull level mobs, or even murlocs not respawning but sprinting out of the ocean. The stress is super fun.

How does warlock make the game easy? According to any death stats I can find they're one of the hardest classes?

for me Priest is not fun, it's just wanding all the way to lvl 40 w/o that much danger, then it gets a bit more interesting at 40. Same thing happens with paladin, it's pretty much Autoattack and heal w/o the risk of dying like a warrior.

So basically this list is just: is it hard? Yes? Fun. No? Not fun.

Warlocks have the most amount of deaths though according to logs, or at least lowest level average deaths. Warlocks are very squishy and lack interupts, and when mobs are immune to fear you can be in a bad spot quickly. Also VW's are terrible tanks.

Hunter could be fun if you participate in HC challenges like melee only or no pet

Dumb question, is hardcore on its own servers back in vanilla or is it on "current" servers in wrath?

Warlock actually has the lowest representation in HC rn. VW threat can be shaky at times compared to a fully dotted mob, both taunts can be resisted by mobs with shadow resistance which a fair amount of mobs have. Utilizing VW also means you will probs have lower defense on average so mobs can crushing blow sometimes. Fear can run mobs into other packs. no 1 button way to reset pulls like Vanish and Feign death and no high mobility way out. All I'm saying it requires more planning then it might seem on the surface when pulling. I've mained lock through all expansions, I've succeeded but it really isn't a cake walk. I will say it gets better the further you get though if you go with a drain tank spec.

I think the risk VS reward of the warlock can make it he best hardcore class When you over pulled, you're oom and all the mobs have survived the dot, so you life tap into hellfire to all finish them, ending the fight at 20hp knowing that any other decision would have been a death... Damn, what a rush ! I've reached lvl 54 on my first try. I'll admit it, the voidwalekr is OP. He's not just a monster of a tank, the sacrifice to get a shield is pretty broken too. But damn I love levleing warlocks

I love playing a rogue + druid or rog + sham duo

Zygor sounds fun for retail or maybe gold farming but I refuse to use any guide for hardcore. I'll look up some tips and tricks and maybe a brief class guide but not a levelling one. I'm glad it's there for those that want it but the fun in hardcore for me is making those decisions and learning to deal with them. I just can't find fun in a game if every decision is made for me. But different strokes I guess. I guess for some reaching 60 is all that they want.

IMO either druid for stealth, or resto shaman for me. Warrior seems the most absolutely frustrating.

Hot take but any class is as fun or as difficult as you make it. I run marksman hunter and do quests 3-4 levels above me usually. Kiting, pet management, keeping their skills up to date etc. hunter is super beginner friendly but incredibly difficult if you’re actually optimizing.

Has Nixxiom made it to lvl60 HC? 50? 40? How far did his pally get?

In hardcore raiding.. i wouldn't be surprised if windfury just wasn't used .. atleast for dps.. the totem would only be put in the tanks group for extra aggro

Well... If you want challenge for priest, maybe only use holy priest skill. So no power word shield or shadow word pain.

I find hunter infinitely more fun on hardcore if you change the rules to no pet deaths. You work with your pet as a unit, and if either one falls the run is over.

The challenge for me is: does my adhd cope with this class? No? Next class. 🤣 I’m playing 2 right now and it’s kinda painful. Mage solo, and paladin when I play with my friend who is a warrior. I lvl a paladin when he’s on and a mage when he’s not. So I’m repeating the same zone twice 🫠

Im the 100% Paladin class type 🤣 Good thing is, i did almost every Elite quest and could go in every sinle cave, where others dont even take a look into. And the very best thing about this class is, you can generate mana in fight. wtf how broken was this 😂 And after lvl 45 your an AoE monster. And those AoE pulls are what makes the Paldin fun. this auto attack before is absolute devestading haha

why is the warlock easy if its one of the least succesful classes to get above 30?

I love classic but i cannot ever get into Paladin in Vanilla. It's not fun because you play the entiregame autoattacking. The hardest part of that challenge is not falling asleep. Even if they had two buttons to push, it would be better. I have never leveled a priest very much before (maybe level 15, max) so i am thinking of trying it with HC mode but i am still having a hard time deciding. Maybe Shaman simply because i know it is the least leveled class and i have always loved the class fantasy.

Rogue is such a ballache before you get to dual weild. Hitting with 1 dagger is so slow in the beginning.

Im kinda curious everyone is doing the Hardcore on Classic era but why not wrath on hardcore? I've been doing it so far and its been pretty fun and atleast on wrath every spec is viable versus classic era you legit are gimped if you wanted to do certain specs/builds.

I gotta disagree with priest, and i agree with paladin for a different reason. Both of them are not fun, but that's because they both rely almost ENTIRELY on autoattack for pallies and wand for priests. Shamans have the same kind of issue at higher level, but at least they have a lot of fun utility and such so sometimes the monotony gets mixed up unlike the other two

As somebody who historically has not enjoyed classic, I have found hc classic to be a lot of fun, but I still can only enjoy myself with the easy classes. Hunter, warlock, rogue. (Rogue really is an easy class, the hardest part about it is remembering all your options in combat and gouge/throw tech lol)

I will say that Hunter is "easy" but... not fun because you have -1 bag.. and on HC that is even harder hit, as you cannot get bigger bags. Add challenge "Your pet dies, you have to tame new" and it becomes actually fun challenge, that you actually have to keep your pet alive.

You say warlocks are easy but they actually have the lowest survival rate out of any class going by the numbers and data collected by the add on. If they’re so easy why don’t they have better stats?

On classic hardcore servers bubble then hearthstone no longer works There alot of things that they took out if you playing on hardcore classic servers Alot of the overpowered stuff on hardcore servers no longer work

You cant group, thats the part where Hardcore lost me, its an MMO, i want to play with friends, so yeah. HC in my personal opinion is wasted time and Blizzard should focus on actually fixing classic's Bot problem and focus on how to make Classic + and not waste worktime to make HC official.

As someone who completed the challenge as a warlock lol I am going to have to hunbly disagree lol. Yes, they do make the challenge a lot easier, but hunters beat warlocks by a long shot. I mean hunters can also not only have pets with taunt, but they also do way more damage and can fiegn death which is HUGE. A destro warlock can probably do good damage but that spec just isn't viable in HC. Also fear almost never a good option for warlocks. Using fear in the wrong place with more than likely get you killed. Also being a cloth wearer makes you very squishy if an enemy does manage to hit you. And while your void walker can tank, warlocks are notorious for generating a lot of threat. My eyes where GLUED to the threat metor. There is more I can say, but I will leave it at this: It may make the challenge a bit easier, but its by no means a complete cakewalk lol espeically if you don't know the class well.

warrior is easy once you get into dungeons. Hunter is only "fair" if you abandon pet after it dies. Priest is always slow.

Warlock has the lowest level death average and the lowest level 60 percentage. It is statistically the hardest class. Hunters are also low.

Mage is the easiest class to play in HC. No deabate at all.

No, the void walker is not an op tank. It is rather disappointing. Far inferior to hunter pets in both threat maintenance and survival - which is supposed to be its only job.

Warlock is too easy until you get hit by something and remember your defense is 100 ranks behind.

Lock isn't easy. Don't pick it up because you think it's an easy class. Voidwalker is not even close to as good as a hunter pet for tanking, fear is not an option a decent amount of the time since it social aggros, sac is cool but it's not a get out of jail free card. Warlock is a challenge, do not play Warlock and get comfortable at all.

if Paladins had Crusader Strike they would be soo fun but auto-attack Andy is not the fun.

unpopular opinion ahead!... i think hunter/warlock is fun, don't get me wrong it is op in leveling but that's the thing, u have to make your own challenges, soloing the unsoloable, controlling your pet not just leaving it in in autopilot, taking on more than 1 mob and kiting the sh*t out of them... but most people just take the easy route with it and cannot have fun

Shaman is great because you have the strategies of totem placement, what ones youll use and how youll deal with packs of mobs. You can only live aslong as you have mana and you can go oom real quick if you dont pay attention

Priest is the least fun Warlock is the most fun

And those wondering Paying to boost & GDKP = Incentive to buy gold = gold buyers = gold sellers = economy and server ruined.
