About 45 minutes west of Colorado Springs, we found a great opportunity for dispersed camping in Pike National Forest just beyond Divide. This dispersed camping area is pretty well known and can even fill up on the weekends. But it is free and it is beautiful.
We really enjoyed camping near Divide particularly on the calm weekdays. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of recreation opportunity in Pike-San Isabel National Forest. During our stay, Shane really enjoyed the dirt roads and OHV trails for riding the mini bike through the forest. And one of the highlights was hiking Crags Trail just a short drive away.
