Right - so Sunny will now require his own Channel to promote peace and sunniness! Thank for such an interesting Paper Clip embellishment process. I think all have small amounts of stuff too small for general use. So it's a great resource not already "plumbed". Sunny is so beautiful!

Pam, it's likely a loose wire in the microphone cord. They tend to "break free", usually in 2 areas - close to the microphone itself, or where the cord enters the jack. Yep, like cell phone chargers - and a zillion other electrical things 🙄 1st, you have to test and find the location giving you the issue - not sure how you can test it easily, unless you video yourself talking (so you can see where on the cord you are) while wiggling the cord, slowly moving from 1 end to the other. Try not to move the remainder of the cord! Hopefully, you'll find the spot. You can then thickly wrap the area - make sure you extend at least 1/2" in both areas, kinda like a bead thats fattest in center & tapers down. You can use washi tape, masking tape, tyvek, or electrical tape for this. Test again, and wiggle AROUND the "patched" area. Don't fiddle with the patch, unless it goes "out" again. This should tide you over til you can replace it - maybe finally get that cordless one you've been talking about ;) Ok, back to watching the video... looking cool so far!

@@AurorasArtWorld ☺ thank you! I'm bad with electrical cords... dunno why, cus I'm gentle! But they quickly break on me regardless lol. I've learned a few little tricks to keep them going long enough to replace them. This is just the easiest. Another uses the spring from a dead pen - i use that trick on new charger cables - they last (for me) at least a few months longer than they normally would, especially if i glue at least one end in place (my issue with the cute little "critter" charger port protection things is they slide away or just fall off somewhere)
@AurorasArtWorld

@@abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501 I think they make them to fall apart easily so you have to buy new ones all the time, same for corded head phones.. Ugh... Lol
@abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501
@abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501 2 жыл бұрын
@@AurorasArtWorld sadly, very very true. I do have a great charge cable now. I can't remember where we got it, but it's about a year & a half old & still 100% intact! 😲 The outer casing is stiff, and like... woven. Not exactly a fabric, but... hard to describe. It also has the wire coming off the side of the chargeport part, instead of straight out like a tail... since my phone is old(er), i have to keep it plugged in, cus battery goes "byebye" in very little time lol. So, no matter how I hold it, I don't have that wire to deal with - it tucks nicely against my phone, and drapes over my arm, or i can rest the bottom again my belly. No more bending that wire at the critical junction. I think we paid like 10 or 15$... maybe 20$ for each. When it starts to show wear or "bumpiness" in the cover near that port, I'll use the spring trick to keep it going. But honestly, although at first I complained about the price, I'm so happy with this thing! By this point, I would have gone through at LEAST 6 "regular-style" cables - and at at least 8-10$ for one long enough to reach my outlet (this one is, I think, 15 foot. I need at least 8 feet just to reach, and have room to shift around)... i've saved $. (Yes, I keep my broken cables, strip them down & use the wire in crafting lol. Less stuff for the landfills, more fun for me. =D I also take apart broken appliences, electronics, etc, and try to find stuff I can re-use.. )

Coarse fabrics like linen, burlap, Osnaburg, denim, etc., are great for harvesting threads to use in this type of project. Even curtain and upholstery fabrics. The threads can be used alone, or a combination can be used, including twisting or braiding them together. Also, paper snippets left over from sewing on paper are great foundations under fancy threads, including metallic threads. Some crochet thread is still available with a metallic thread wound around it, though mostly they are now available only in basic colors. They are sometimes available at thrift stores. Using old thread for projects like this one is a good use of thread that otherwise would not have enough hold for clothing, or for journal covers, and using old thread in these types of projects makes your sewing machine very happy knowing it won’t be made to eat thread dust and thread poop. 😃

Hi Pam! Whatta cute, simple, and fun way to make something for your junk journal without getting too involved. You know… when you wanna make “something”, but only have a few minutes to spare? I picked up a new, several yard pkg (of assorted colors) of that eyelash threads for a piddly .59¢ at my local gw. I really had no use for it, but couldn’t pass it up lol. This is a perfect way to put the thread to good use, and give a cute accent to boring paperclips. Always loving your ideas. Thank you and enjoy your day!😀

There's way more uses for these little things than I first thought... my brain is STILL going down the list lol. Now... to find a box of paperclips...

@@KentuckyKrafter for one, spacer beads in anything. As mentioned, a spine dangle - it coukd be the top or anywhere along in the dangle/s. Another - attached to pretty much any kind of hair clip or headband as an ornament - dangles off them could work for a few. Glue a safety pin to the back, and voila! A pin/brooch to wear. Dangles or not, cute! Somehow weaving them on/in the laces of a shoe - shoe decor! Jump rings connecting a few together into acircle - instant bracelet or, if long enough, necklace. Chain on the ends & a clasp, another necklace. Those are just the ones that hit me and I remember lol. Wonder if you can curve them & make an open-back ring... see? Ideas flow! =D

Awesomeness...JJ jewelry! Easy to make, limitless decorating possibilities. I think you should put all the JJ jewelry videos in a play list for easy access (or have you done that already and I just haven't found it yet?) Poor Sunbun...soon little guy those irritating stitches will be gone. Regards to the menagerie (Hi Holly!) and Papa too of course. Hope you have a great day Pam. 😁
