2:54 my aunt has a siemens system in her apartment, but the alarm looks exactly like that of a Wheelock speaker strobe, uses a modified version of the Code 3, and the message has the “please” and “do not use the elevators” cut out.

This is the Voice Evacuation message that is for the Simplex 2001-8004, 8005 and 8006 models. Its also on the older 2120 with networking voice panels.

in your other video like this the system sensor speaker strobe also wins in clarity it's a combination of how the message was recorded and the way the driver is voiced some sound like toys others too muffled of course when you mount it in a real installation that's another factor i don't think these building planners have time to choose between brands how they mix with different walls and ceilings like guitar/bass amp companies match instrument speakers to cabinets though i think there's a similar science behind it perhaps alarm speakers should have eq settings as most of them have built in transformers already

1:25 I have the same exact alarm at my school. It also plays the same tone, except, it cuts out and plays again a few times when the system is activated and plays the voice evac message. It does that three times and then it plays the slow whoop tone without the tone cutting out. Basically, it's like a two-stage voice evac system, but after a few minutes, the whole thing starts over from the beginning. The message played is the Edwards voice evac message but with the simplex voice saying it, which isn't common on YT.

At 2:53, that was the same tone and voice evac as the World Trade Center before 9/11. I doubt it was the same speaker/strobes model though. But the World Trade Center had a Siemens voice evac system that did that same voice and tone though.

That's the original Wheelock version of the Cerberus Pyrotronics-rebranded versions that were used in the World Trade Center. As I've had to tell numerous other people though the WTC's system did not play a message, only whoop tones.

I am on this Autism spectrum and these are my rankings with headphones on but at low volume My volume is 8% 1 ok 2 a little sensitive 3 sensitive 4 it’s not as loud as 3 so less sensitive 5 Used to it Elementry school gymnasium’s fire alarm sound 6 Made me jump just like the high school that I went to but not the same alarm but similar sound 7Same as 6 but didn’t make me jump 8 Not bad was expecting a smoke alarm sound 9 Lol thats a funny sound and same as 5and6

3:59 My preschool voice evac message, except, they use Wheelock E50 speaker strobes. I even heard this at a mall in NY, but I only heard the tone, and they had EST genesis speaker strobes.

For some reason, my middle school has the last alarm randomly in some areas, no aparent reason of where they place them, just scattred with mostly Wheelock AS signals everywhere else. I know they are speaker-strobes because the panel has a speakerphone attached.

This is from the 2120 line, and also seen on the 2001-8004, 8005 and 8006 Series. A building I work in here as Building Security in Chicago has Dual-Bay Cabinet setups for 4 2001-8005 panels, as well as a 8004 for the commerial wing. The Speakers were Wheelock ET Speakers in White with older Frost Wheelock Strobes mounted wallside. Speaker Was on the Celings. Some areas had Wheelock E-50 Speakers replacing the dead speakers. 31 story building. has a slightly different message than this one

That’s an older Wheelock Safepath fire alarm message, newer ones use the slower “truck backing up” code 3 tone. The device is an older pre-ADA Wheelock speaker strobe, which likely pre-dates the use of that particular message. I forget the model of that speaker strobe, however, I know the horn version was called the ES.

HOW CAN I POWER THESE AT HOME FOR MY SON? I dont want them connected to my house.. anyway to like portably power them? i have a small battery working for his strobe alarm, but the lights wont strobe. any advice? anyone?

You need a power supply that works with your strobe. For example, a 24 volt strobe needs a a 24 volt DC power supply. I recommend using a wall adapter or three 9 volt batteries

How Does The Strobe Work.

There's a flash capacitor that charges up when 24 Volts DC Power is applied and once it's fully charged it will discharge and the strobe will flash in 1/100 of a second then it will take 1 second minus 1/100 of a second for it to recharge. For Simplex strobes to work they have to be hooked up to a Simplex SmartSync, or Wheelock sync module and also on a Simplex panel. If it isn't on a Simplex panel it must use the module or if it's a Honeywell panel like Fire-Lite it can do Wheelock sync and the Simpex strobe will work

Fire Alarm is old but the sound is scary from Fire Alarm and when I go school and no one pulled the Fire Alarm but if I pulled the fire Alarm is comeing sound and we will get out the school and they know I think people pulled it and it’s will of and they will get me out in school and 1one day to let go school
