I use Funcation for high school. I do add things for enrichment/fun but we absolutely love it.

We used the exact path a couple years ago. I loved that it only had them work on things they missed on the assessments. Most online courses make them take the whole years worth of grade. My son was able to progress through many of the skills. However, there were a few skills that were difficult for him to grasp and it seemed like they were not taught very well. We used all the extra tools and studied on our own and still couldn’t pass these tests. So it seems like something’s there’s enough instruction, but not enough for others. There was also glitches where the correct answer would be counted wrong and it would kick him back to the beginning of the skill in an endless loop. That was very frustrating and ultimately why we stopped using it.

Would love more middle school & high school in depth look. The high setup fees on these make me want to avoid them. 😅

My son prefers the cartoon aspect and silliness - but we follow the learning path, and as stated, we use other online programs and Outschool too.

My kids hated IXL, Power Homeschool, and Miacademy lol It’s been eye opening how different their needs are and how they stray from many mainstream favorites. I really appreciate your reviews, they give me a glimpse. I started using Spark after watching your review. It’s been great for supplementing and just fun. I don’t think any option is complete. We mix a lot of them together 😅

@@AmandaMelrose Spark has been great for brushing up on multiplication, science experiments, story + craft… just hands on things for my kiddo that needs to be busy 24/7 (which is impossible when I’m teaching her brother as well)

Sounds good! Definitely trying to find a good cheap to free curriculum for my 11th grader. We were with study and that was great but need to add some workbook so he's not bored. Plus it's over $60 a month. @@AmandaMelrose
