Watched this again after catching Henning Baer's brilliance. Thoughts: 1. Mr. Dave Sumner, take a bow, sir. I watched him as part of LSD at Dekmantel this August (take me back to the sweaty UFO tent, please?) and it was the most powerful techno experience I've had to date, barring Katharsis that same weekend. If I was only more rested, I would have enjoyed myself a lot more in Warehouse Elemenstraat that long night. 2. I have to move to Berlin. Plain and simple. I was there for a few days after Amsterdam, and they party like no-one else. I miss Tresor and Golden Gate. 3. The girl in purple is everything I want to see on the dance-floor. She moves freely, sometimes with jerky almost robotic movements - as you should to techno - and is dressed stylishly, yet to sweat. Amazing. If I meet her, I'd like to hug and tell her what a wonderful dancer she is. 4. Sexual harassment is a scary thing to watch unfold. As someone mentioned below, watch the dude creep up on the purple-dress clothed dancer around 58 minutes. You can see him eyeing her with animalistic, carnal desire - and it's sick. He feels her up as well - I'm shocked that no one stepped in. I would have done so, because women should feel safe on the dance floor. It's a battle that I'm willing to take up, even if it has to be one I'll wage for the rest of my life. 5. Lollipops help. You know what I mean :)

Ilovelasvegas Nevada don't get me wrong. I know techno is in America and Germany, but both have their own sound. Detroit and Berlin, but nowadays Berlin is doing what Detroit started, and that is what we know about techno. I'm from Chile and here techno has their own value, so if we say Berlin has techno, is because Berlin techno is world known as the capital of techno

Just saw Function's live act Saturday at Kozzmozz. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen, pure genius music, in love with your music for sure. Words can describe that stuff. Was dancing like a maniac the whole set and was sober af. Thanks again if you ever read this.

Made a quick decision to see him out of the blue at the time I didn't know who he was but my God his performance was so memorizing that there isn't a day where I don't think about it. Really has drawn me to the way he interprets techno all I regret was not knowing about him sooner

I actually like the crowd this time. No one is craving for fame by pushing their way up front, people respect the DJ by giving hime space, and people generally seem to have a good time. This is how Boiler Room should be in my opinion.

i saw him live (not this boiler room but some other party), he lit his cigarette the wrong way and i was in the first row and as soon as he lit it i started waving to him and he thought i was gonna attack him on something but then he saw, later he got his drink and we cheered together, pretty cool moment and amazing set
