Why does everyone struggle so much releasing prints from the bed? I can get to them 3 minutes after finishing a print and move them with my breath 😂

I bet this would need a brushless motor or low-wind brushed to make any meaningful pressure. Hopefully the compressor stays together. Polycarbonate would be ideal.

Printed it, the first version i printed with big layers and high speed worked great already. I'll 3d print a 4-cylinder engine power by air, connect the air supply to this, and then connect the output shaft to a pencil sharpener. It will surely be very effective!

Great designs! But I really doubt you need that much of supports, it looks overkilling (but I guess you're using automatic support placement from S3D).

Test the psi coming out I'm curious how well it does. And that pla held up nicely under that amount of friction did you use any type of lubrication to keep it from seizing up? I love this. I have a 3d printer but wish I knew how to model my own things in software so I could make my own inventions and creations.

Well if youre trying some easy things i would go for fusion 360 its pretty easy to use ( if ure not doing complex things its easy ) or go blender but i would say its not that easy to learn.

Motor was from old BMW parts, but i think it it is equivalent of 540 motor

@@MrGoodcat1 cheers! But some further down someone wrote the standard 540 motor wouldn't fit. Could you provide a few measures - especially of the axel and the rim going into the housing? Or might it be possible to provide a design for a standard 540 motor? I really like your design and is easy build. As an engineer it's a pleasure to see and in the future use it!

Just like a real turbo, it’s a centrifugal compressor. Just needs more rpm to actually do much.

Currently printing this, rotor and base is done now i just need the upper part, tried once but the supports stuck to the print. Got any tips as for printing the upper part?

Best thing would be to use a real turbo and 3d scan it or modify existing turbo models that have been made.

Looks really good , nice work. check out mine .I have one that's possibly a little more practical using a regenerative type blower , also a vane type supercharger , that one makes 3psi.

I think an EDF is more of a propeller than a compressor. Tell me if I'm wrong?

This would be classified as a compressor or turbofan more than an EDF. If it's used to push air into the intake of an engine, it would be referred to as a supercharger, even turbochargers are still superchargers

Nice video but that's all... Bad print quality and qron title name too... *lol*... This isn't a Turbocharger! This is a supercharger or in Germany "Kompressor" (compressor) ...
