This is really interesting. Have UC. Just had a bad flare (October - now), currently in my way into remission after three weeks in hospital. Noticed I was already on mirtazapine due to *drumroll* anxiety, depression and sleep problems. Also struggle a lot with stomach acid flooding my throat when I try to fall asleep. Eating acid reducers for that. Not helping much. Noticed my anxiety got so much worse through this. I've had to take medications to calm down lately, but hopefully today is the day I won't need them anymore. This illness is a wild ride.
