Optometrists (and intros case, not ophthalmologists) who specialize in "Vision Therapy" can assess the numerous "trainable" variable involved in efficient vision. Then, they can define which elements are the least efficient in your specific case. Then, those specific elements can be trained.

I'll definitely start doing this. My eyesight requires me to wear varifocal lenses now. The up and down excersise is a non starter for me as the focus goes way out. The rest of them are great.

Also, if you get a headache, dizzy or nauseous you probably have a concussion that needs medical attention. We use these exercises as a screening tool in the clinic for occulomotor deficits associated with mTBI.

Hunter I have to ask everywhere I look I find pointers and proper sight alignment what to look for or how to do this but what I'm looking for is when shooting with iron sights in a compatition how and what am I doing to first hit target I'm aiming at and just how am I doing this to hit A shots or even C or D shots do you have any pointers or suggestions. I'm new to USPSA shooting which I'm extremely excited about I do alot of dry fireing and go to range but living in Tampa there are no ranges that allow you to you know practice in real time as if you were shooting a match . There are a few places that run USPSA matches but you can't shoot or practice moving around shooting at targets like you would in a match heck you can't even practice Draw . Sorry for rambling on was just hoping you might post something on just how to go about shooting and acquiring targets and getting hits while using an iron sight only handgun. Thanks hunter you've been a huge inspiration and ambassador to this sport Thank you again your bud Chris from Tampa

I am both a Board Certified Neuro-Ophthalmologist and Board Certified /Residency-trained optometrist. I am only an expert-class shooter, BUT, burying the truth in a series of lies is one of the best tricks of the devil. This dude, a likely con-man, has no true idea of what he's professing. He clearly doesn't know what he doesn't know. Pencil push-up, saccade "practice", and accommodative testing are affected by so many other variables as to make his suppositions horribly absurd. I'd be happy to explain! Sorry to be so direst.#bugus

I know this is 6 months old but yea, this reminded me so much of the ramblings of Travis Haley and his “teachings” that just come off as a bunch of scientific jargon. I’d love to see Matt Pranka and Ben Stoeger interview him 😂

Very interesting, what would you recommend in the alternative?
@skiflyfightdoc
@skiflyfightdoc 9 күн бұрын
@@hiddyboy101 Thanks for your question. First, I would schedule an appointment with an optometrist (an O.D.) that SPECIALIZES in VISION THERAPY ("VT"); this sort of visual performance assessment & treatment is not within the scopes of ophthalmology or neuro-ophthalmology (both are M.D.s). In "VT", visual performances factors like phobias, ductions, positive and negative fusional reserves, accommodative spasm, saccade speed, accuracy of saccades, etc., etc. are measured. The results can be compared to those of high visual performers, and any of the specific deficiencies (IF any) can be identified and usually improved. If you happen to be in the same general area of an optometry school (Google Optometry Schools Near Me), that is a good option. Also, google "Vision Therapy Optometrists Near Me"; that's another good resource.
