Funeral Hearse Vehicle being recovered on our Brain James T6 Transporter Trailer 3500kg 18ft 2.1m wide, BUT trailer was not feeling comfortable at 43mph I felt a slight bit of twitch on the rear, so i drove back to base to swap onto one of our bigger vehicles with this job going 60 mile up the motorway to Wigan.
Swapped vehicles onto our DAF 18T and loaded better than I expected it to, Jag Hearse are approx 2.5 ton I was told, and the Brian James t6 3.5ts carry that legally with trailer weighing in at a tonne how ever the problem was that I could not distribute the weight evenly enough on the trailer due to the sheer length & weight balance of the hearse.
Please remember fellow operators its not about what it carries in weight, its all about weight distribution spreading the load evenly, you could load a basic ford mondeo backwards and potentially you could feel that on a back with each others nose weights fighting against each other ( in simple terms )

OH & P.S our daf is seat belt exempt it has no seat belts when it was made before you say put your belt on!, BUT yes seat belts do save lives for sure!
