I’m from Mexico City, and let me tell you that this video was spot on. People can not afford to stay home, most of us have to go out to work. I’m 18 years old, bound for college, and I didn’t have my graduation, and can’t look for a summer job to afford my tuition. I really hope that this situation goes away soon, although it’s not realistic. Stay safe everyone!!!!

I live in México and let me tell you people do NOT care, when we were still not allowed to go out people continued to live their life's normally and continued leaving their house everytime they wanted even if it wasn't necessary. It doesn't help our president is very stupid saying such things like "an amulet will save us". At this point I can't help to think the worst is yet to come and people do not care, im very thankful only one person in my family is leaving the house for basic needs. This is my thrid month without leaving my home and I certainly don't plan on leaving it soon since everyday the deaths are higher.

My friend in Tijuana her mother died and it was going to take a week before anyone could come pick up the body. Luckily they found a funeral home that came that day and they where able to burry her mother in 3 days

Even in my country, they say we have no deaths but in my class a girl's mom died from it.

My mother's cousin who was a nun in Veracruz died from covid 19 a month ago. She was in her 50's and very healthy.

I feel forcing a culture whose tradition it is to bury their dead and celebrate that life, to now have to cremate is devastating to their way of life. A funeral and the celebration of life is a way of closure for the living. Not having that opportunity can be emotionally and mentally detrimental. So sad. ❤️❤️🙏🙏

My daughter works in a nursing home. She says she has seen more death and devastation in the last three months then she has seen in her 20 years of nursing. I've had three friends who have had relative die over the last two weeks all in their fifties and under in good health. This is real folks. Please take it seriously.

Good to see international news outlets shining a light on the terrible, terrible handling of the Mexican government with this pandemic. Earlier I saw New Zealand lifted their restrictions, and contained the virus. I’m so happy for them, but I can’t help but be mad at how our government did nothing to prepare the country for this. Our public health system, which is the backbone of Mexico’s healthcare for the working classes, is overwhelmed. Doctors and nurses are getting infected, and many are dying, because there is not enough PPE. In some hospitals, the directives are telling the medical staff to wear the same N95’s for several days. It would’ve been nice if you could interview doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other medical staff.
