I am 68 yo and when I was 8 years old I went to a summer daycamp in Atlanta Georgia. We learned many, many songs for hiking or just for rainy afternoon fun. We also learned a Jewish song: Zoom Gali gali Gali, zoom Gali Gali. That's a phonetic spelling. But we sang it in 3 part harmony. Children need to learn folk songs. They fill the heart with joy and long memories. 💕

I try to learn something new every day! So today, my kindergarten great-granddaughter taught me this song and how to do sign language for "grandfather and grandmother I love you." I am blessed! It's the little things!😊

*Learned this song in 6th grade music. My lil bro was in 4th & learned it also. We both had penpals in Central African Republic, in Bangui. This song was a common topic of conversation. My "lil" bro is with the Lord now, but this song will always have a special place in my heart!*

I met these Indian girls when I was in 2nd grade. I'm not sure where they are now but I'm wishing them well. This song was in my head, and every time I think of it, i remember the time they sung this one song and danced around during break

I found this song interesting, but the lyrics are kind of weird. The words are supposed to be Yoruba, and this is how it's supposed to go; Fún wá l'àláfíà Àṣẹ! Àṣẹ!! Fún wa l'àláfíà Àṣẹ! Àṣẹ!! interpretations: Give us peace So shall it be! So shall it be!! Give us peace So shall it be! So shall it be!!
